Great product and on-demand hot water
I recently purchased the Waterdrop K6, and it has exceeded my expectations in both filtration quality and convenience. The 5-stage filtration system provides crisp, clean water, giving me peace of mind knowing harmful contaminants are removed. What sets the K6 apart is the instant hot water feature with adjustable temperatures—perfect for making tea, coffee, or even preparing quick meals. The sleek, tankless design saves space under the sink, and the smart touch display faucet makes it easy to monitor filter life and control water temperature. Overall, the K6 combines advanced technology with practicality, making it a fantastic addition to my home.

Love this brand - it's my 2nd purchase
This filter has 2 options - one for hot water and one for room temp water. I use it constantly. The faucet swivels has a nice digital display. It is large. I don't know how long the filter will last. My old one I had to change out about once/year. It fits nicely under the sink. I will say that I don't think the water tastes as good as straight out of the tap, but that's ok if the filter is removing pfoas, which it claims to do. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this but be aware, it's big
I just finished installing this beast of a unit. Make no mistake, this is a beast of a unit. I don't think I ever grasped how big the base unit was or how tall the dispenser was. The base unit takes up the entire left side underneath my sink.. probably 25% of the space under there. Maybe more since the pipes and lines intrude on so much.I was installing this in place of an old insinkerator filtration system. The hole was a tad bigger than I think this waterdrop unit wanted so screwing in the nut to hold the dispenser in place wasn't quite as easy as I had a hard time getting it as tight as I thought it needed to be. The hole was a little big and there was not a larger spacer/washer to allow for that. Really the only thing I thought they should have had in the system that wasn't there. After suffering through uninstalling the old unit, installing this waterdrop ro system was really quite easy. I thought the hardest part was drilling the drain hole and then shoving the tube in there. That was hard as the 1/4" hole was too small for the tube and I had to enlarge the hole a little at a time until I could shove the drain tube in. After that, it was really easy. Everything is clearly marked and the tubes go into quick connectors very easily. I did have to read through the setup guide after the install to find out that the system wants to flush for 15 minutes after install to get everything through and before any heating can occur. That's fine. I just didn't know this until I read it. The 60 second flush is normal for any filter so that was expected. So far the unit is pretty awesome. After overcoming the shock of how big it was and getting it finally installed, I think my family will very much enjoy using this. There is no taste to the water and the instant hot water feature is so nice. We had that with the insinkerator until a 3rd tank broke. I wasn't about to get another tank. Hated having to deal with those. It's very early but it seems like this will be everything I expected and maybe even better than I expected. I had mentioned the dispenser Sat pretty high... It sits around 10 inches high off the counter. That's fine. I just wasn't expecting it. Hard to gauge in pictures. But the touch controls and the overall function is really easy and nice. The water coming out seems really fresh. I had some cold and it truly came out cold and it was very refreshing.

Great Water System
This unit was very easy to set up, the TOD is incredibly low, and the hot water is always there on demand. I am so happy I don't have to buy distilled water for my water kettle and wait till it is hot. One push of a button and I have my tea with the purest water. My husband uses the room temp filtered water for his coffee machine and the machine is as clean as it was with the distilled water-no mineral deposits.I did have one issue with hooking it up, but thanks to Rebecca, I received a needed part and a free water pitcher "for my patience", but it didn't require patience because they sent the part out the same day. This is a fabulous filter with outstanding customer service.

Very effective RO filtration system.
The K6 is very effective; it reduces our TDS by 90%. It does not take up much space and is also easy to install. The following are just from my experience as a lay person and should in no way be taken as recommendations to anyone to do the same:1. Like many other homes, ours has only two outlets under the kitchen counter, one for the dish washer, the other the disposal, each is required to be on its own power source. Our solution is to use a two-outlet air switch, which, by only sending juice to one of its two outlets at any given moment, satisfies the building code.2. We decided to put the dish washer and the disposal on the two outlets of the air switch. This is because, if the K6 and the disposal are put on the air switch outlets, every time we use the disposal, the power to the k6 is cut off by design. When the disposal is disconnected and power to the K6 is in turn restored, the K6 interprets it as a hard resetting and does a very energetic flush. We figured too many hard settings might not be good for the health of the K6. Besides, the strong flush would send water splashing up the drain into the sink (unlike the K6's regular flush after uses, which is very gentle).3. Regarding how to get cold water/turn off cold water, the Instruction Manual says on Page 9: "Touch the cold water key to get or turn off cold water." I thought this meant it takes only one touch of the cold water key to get cold water. It turned out, however, (unless one has used the system seconds ago) it takes two touches. At first, I thought there was something wrong with my K6. But further research by watching other K6 owners' videos has led to the conclusion that two-touch is actually normal: the first touch (of any key) wakes up the system and the second touch (of the cold water key) gets one the water. My confusion was caused by the Instruction Manual which does not mention the need to wake up the system anywhere. All in all, the K6 is a very nice RO filtration system. I only wish the Instruction Manual may be improved. I highly recommend this system.
