Having issues with my garage door and garage parking, I had to find something shorter. This 14" antenna was the longest one I could find next to the length of the OEM antenna. An additional 2 inches would've been perfect but am really happy so far with this antenna. I hear a lot of AM talk radio so it was important not to have a significant loss in reception. This one does the job and looks great on my 16 F150 KR. Nice not to hit any trees too :)Update 10/4/16 I deducted a star due to wind noise caused by this antenna above 60 mph. It's not loud but audible if your ac is on low and radio is off.

I bought this 24" antenna for an '02 Ford F250 Super Duty that had a 32" antenna so that the truck will fit in the garage. The problem with this antenna kit are the adapters, specifically the small adapter required for the factory Ford antenna base. If the adapters were made out of a decent qualit and properly heat treated steel or stainless steel it wouldn't be a problem but you can see in the photo that the adapter sheared off and that was without much torque at all. I put some blue Loctite on the threads of the adapter and applied minimal torque but adapter sheared off. The diameter of the shank is about .100" and with such poor steel it simply can't stand up to the necessary torque to properly secure the antenna. To fix this issue I used an appropriately sized drill bit to drill out the factory antenna base and then cut threads in the base with a 1/4-20 tap. I then used the 1/4-20 adapter in the kit to attach the new antenna. It was very easy to drill out the sheared off stub that was stuck in the factory base which tells me that the steel is very soft. Once I got the antenna mounted I'm pleased with the results. Radio reception is good, the antenna looks factory, and the truck fits in the garage. I took two stars off this product due to the poor quality of the adapters.

I love the size the size of this antenna and it looks great on my truck. I wish I could end this review there.I went through the car wash one time without taking the antenna off and unfortunately that's all it took to put a bend in it. Is still usable, but it looks like I'm driving on the interstate when I'm stopped at stop lights because this piece of @@@@ bent. I was absolutely sick that the durability was that bad. My OEM antenna lasted longer than 4 years going through the same wash.Reception of local stains (same city) is good. However, if you're more than ~30 miles from the transmitter expect the sound quality to be sub-par.I really wanted to like this antenna but I either received their one did our this is a poor quality antenna, lacking durability, and lacking the ability to pickup stations that should not be a problem. I give it 2 stars only because it looks good. The performance is bad.Searching for a replacement.

I'm not sure why others were complaining about whistling seeing as I haven't heard a peep from my 14 inch antenna! My OEM antenna snapped off during cold weather and constantly hitting the concrete beams in my parking garage. I still had reception with the little nub that was left, but in the lower level of the parking garage I would only hear static. After installing the 14 inch chrome antenna on my 2015 F-150 (which only took 5 minutes) I achieved the same reception as with the OEM antenna. Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to replace their tall/flimsy OEM antenna.

Is the antenna good quality? Who knows, I was unable to use it. I picked out the correct adapter and installed it into the antenna, the screwed it into the base on my truck. I tightened it hand tight and it snapped the adapter in half, so now not only do I not have an antenna but I have to buy a whole new base and another (higher quality) adapter so that I can even use the supplied antenna. I'd gladly pay a little more money if they would use a decent quality adapter with this kit. As of now though..... It sucks and I would not recommend it.2/14/18 Update :The company contacted me and is sending me a new hardware kit with the adapters, I already purchased a new mount and I am waiting on it to be delivered. I'll install the new mount and try to install the antenna again and post another update soon.

Don't waste. your money, buy something else. Pretty easy to install, looks great, but after about a week the first one was mysteriously gone one day. I thought maybe some vandal had snapped it off. Had to buy an extractor bit set to get the post out of the antenna mount.So I bought a replacement and put it in. Yeah, bought two. This time I discovered what happened to first. The first time I went through a car wash it emerged broken and dangling by a thread. These things are not built sturdy enough to survive a car wash!!So now I have no antenna, and am almost $60 the poorer for the lesson. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Delivery was fast and met expectations.Product however did not meet expectations. I purchased this item because the original 36" antenna on my new F-150 would scrape the frame of my garage as I entered/exited. Reception with this 13" antenna was not good.Right now, I'm thinking that a 17" or 24" length would have been better.Returned this item.

Holds up nicely to car wash, good analog radio reception at 40 miles from station transmitter, BUT loses HD reception in the hills around Nashville where factory antenna doesn't because the factory antenna is a foot over the roof and this only is half way up windshield, rainy days loses HD signal till about 20 miles from tower, factory antenna didn't lose signal, factory antenna doesn't like car wash bends it a little bit with every wash. Would be perfect if it were mounted on roof but I'll just have to switch over to analog station and listen to commercials when reception drops on HD.
