This is used to hold an air compressor, tie downs, lug wrench and other items to free up space under the rear seat. I didn't want anything too large that would eat up a lot of square footage in the truck's bed and ended up with the Pelican. It's roomy enough but the walls of the case come inwards. I'm guessing to improve the weather sealing but I would have rather seen a stronger gasket seal and have the inch or so space inside the case. Have the side walls come straight up to meet the lid instead of having the lip. Speaking of weather sealing, the case holds up nicely. I do have a bed cover, but a few times it's rained and I had the cover rolled up. No water inside the Pelican. Latches are firm, but not too much so. There are plenty of anchor points to secure the case to prevent it from sliding around. It sits low enough that I can stack lumber on top of it without losing too much on an angle and narrow enough, I can slide stuff to the side of the case. It is pricey but I suspect this case will last a good long time.
