Rummershof Manual Coffee Grinder With Ceramic Grinder

I have recently become interested in real fresh coffee, after sampling some at work. So I ordered a bag of Hawaiin Kona as described in a previous review and needing a grinder opted for the handheld basic grinder. The grinder is great, takes seconds to put together and oddly quite enjoyable to do the whole process by hand, the smell and taste of real coffee, you can't beat it.The only minus I would give would be that it doesn't come with instruction on which way to twist the grinder to set how fine or coarse, took me a minute to work out the best grain but I found twisting to the right became finer. So far so good seems very sturdy yet light weight, time will tell but I think a good purchaseThe delivery, no complaints arrived quicker than I thought it would so a thumbs up there to, all in all a good purchase and service.

Does the job BUT difficult to get beans into it as very narrow opening to pour them in resulting in beans everywhere and takes a good 5 minutes vigorously grinding to get enough ground coffee for two people.packaged very nicely and good for the occasional coffee drinker as a thoughtful gift, but ultimately, you will need an electric one

I use this almost every day. Have to occasionally tighten the grinder to keep a fine grind. One little disappointment is that water can get stuck between the glass and steel in the base when washing. Had to wait a couple days for it to dry out before using again. Now I just wash it with a hand towel. Otherwise makes amazing coffee and very happy with the purchase

Although this grinder is beautifully made from gorgeous brushed steel and works very well, the part that connect the spindle (the bit that you are turning with the handle) to the burr (the ceramic bit that grinds the coffee) is made of fragile plastic. It breaks very quickly because worse still, the design is a steel "wing" from the spindle going into the plastic at the point of maximum torque, so it's not just bad, it's very, very bad. It's a pity because the entire machine really is the business. It's wonderful, but it's got this hidden bit of obsolescence built into it and that's a real pity. Worse still is the fact that you cannot get a replacement for this part. So you're throwing away a perfectly good piece of beautiful equipment because of this one fatal design flaw.

Camping, self catering even star gazing has delivered a perfect brew every time. Love it.

Better than our big one at home!!!!

I bought this six months ago, and it gave fine service right up 'til the following January. The grind was even and the grinder's compact size was ideal for a small kitchen. I was initially considering a 4 or 5 star review for it, but decided to wait, as reliability seems to be a common failing with coffee grinders.And now the handle just revolves with turning the grinder, as the interface between the removable handle and the grinder itself has been deformed by the wear of only a few months' light use.A shame, as it was otherwise ideal for my needs.

It broke after a few weeks.

Uso el molinillo para hacer café para una persona (dos tazas) y va perfecto. Uso un ajuste fijo para cafetera moka, y unos 8 gramos de café cada vez (4 cucharaditas). Tardo algo menos de dos minutos en moler esa cantidad, sin que tenga que hacer mucha fuerza para ello. El diseño es bonito y ocupa poco espacio en la cocina.

Diese Kaffeemühle kam wie gewohnt gut verpackt und schnell bei mir an. Da ich in einigen Rezessionen gelesen habe, daß so einige Schwachstellen an der Kaffeemühle existieren sollen, bin ich mit einiger Skepsis an die Kaffeemühle herangegangen. Aber schnell hat es sich gezeigt, daß meine Skepsis nicht angebracht war. Die Kaffeemühle ist einfach aufgebaut und dadurch auch einfach zu bedienen. Einfach den Deckel abnehmen, die Kaffeebohnen einfüllen und den Deckel wieder drauf. Die Kurbel aufsetzen und noch die Mahlstärke an der Unterseite des Mahlwerkes, das nach Abziehen des unteren Behälters leicht zugänglich ist, einstellen. Die Einstellmutter ist relativ groß und griffig ausgeführt, so daß die Einstellung sehr leicht von statten geht. Die Kaffeemühle wieder zusammenstecken und schon kann man sich an das Mahlen des leckeren Kaffees machen. In meinen Tests habe ich nicht länger gebraucht, die Kaffeebohnen zu mahlen, als das Wasser zum Kochen brauchte. Da man die Mahlstärke sehr einfach und leicht einstellen kann, eignet sich diese Kaffeemühle für jede Art der Kaffeebereitung. Egal ob mit Filter, French-Press, türkisch oder auf eine andere Art der Zubereitung, die Kaffeemühle liefert immer genau die benötigte Mahlstärke des Kaffees. Ein großer Vorteil dieser Kaffeemühle ist, daß der Kaffee beim Mahlen geschont wird, da es zu keiner großen Temperaturerhöhung beim Mahlen kommt. Dadurch wird das Aroma des Kaffees geschont. Das Einzige das ich vielleicht zu bemängeln habe ist, daß die Kaffeemühle ziemlich fest zu halten ist, da die Oberfläche des Edelstahls relativ glatt ist und man dadurch die Kaffeemühle sehr fest anfassen muß, so daß sie sich beim Mahlvorgang nicht mit drehen kann. Vielleicht kann sich der Hersteller dazu durchringen, an der Außenseite einen Neoprenmantel anzubringen, oder eine Neoprenhülle mit zu liefern. Es muß ja keine komplette Beschichtung sein, es würde ja schon ein paar Streifen von rutschfestem Material auf der Außenseite der Mühle den Griff verbessern.Ansonsten kann ich nichts negatives über diese Kaffeemühle sagen. Sie eignet sich für zu Hause, wenn man auf frisch gemahlenen Kaffee wert legt und nicht allzuviel Kaffee am Tag konsumiert. Denn dann wird das Kaffeemahlen zu einer Bodybuildingmaßnahme! ;-) Besonders für den Kaffeegenießer unterwegs, beim Camping oder auf Tour mit Motorrad, PkW oder Lkw, diese Kaffeemühle ergibt immer guten Kaffee und nimmt nicht viel Platz weg. Also kurz und gut, diese Kaffeemühle kann ich nur empfehlen!

il problema è che la vite di plastica (con ricambio incluso, in previsione di un'eventuale, ma probabile, rottura) che fissa la macina conica all'asse centrale traballa leggermente, quindi i grani non vengono macinati in maniera uniforme. aggiungendo un po' di carta tra la vite e la ceramica sono riuscito a renderla più solida, e il caffè viene decente.sarebbe bastato estremamente poco a rendere il prodotto molto migliore...consiglio di informarsi meglio, e cercare altri marchi, ce ne sono tanti per prezzi simili.
