The code should print out the RSSI signal via serial . So it will depend on the application for your phone. If the application can open a serial terminal and read output from the RFID reader then it should be able to show the RSSI. As for SDK, I believe the Arduino IDE is the closest thing we have. We don't support the product beyond using it with the Arduino IDE, but there may be a SDK other than Arduino that will work. **Q: how many cards can you read at the same time?** A: It depends on the situation. Tags can cause interference with each other if they are stacked on top of one another. But depending on tag orientation, stacking, etc...approximately 150 tags per second. **Q: Does it come with everything needed to run it?** A: If you want to do long range dB pull like 27dBm then you need the correct antenna (which will go 16 feet in coverage) Otherwise, the set you buy from here is good for 5dBm (for nearby detection of tags only) Also ensure you have the correct battery and the instruction manual is well dissected on sparkfun website **Q: does any SDK for this product?** A: There's an Arduino library and the manufacturer has windows-specific software as well. I use this on a Linux system with python using the Mercury API python wrapper. This thing can read a huge pile of tags and fast. I've watched the real time results and it's very impressive. I wish the reader was a little bit cheaper, but it is one of the cheapest options on the market and very capable. The main reader chip itself is about $120 alone, so the rest of the cost is the board it sits on with the internal trace antenna and a couple other connections i don't use.
