This camera does much of what is promises to do. It's just missing some features, I didn't know I needed.Firstly, it turns off pretty quickly once the car is in idol or parked with power off. It surprises me that it will also do this in ACC mode.It's also not obvious how to force it to record/save. This concerns me, because I definitely want to make sure it's recording if I get pulled over for a traffic stop. (Video and Audio).The night vision is okay, but not amazing. Though given that you should have lights on when driving at night, it does an alright job.The mounting kit is great, and it's suction cup has stayed attached for more than a week without any adjustments needed.The audio recording does not appear to work.Note: when it says you need to format a card in the directions. It means put a 32gig card in the camera, and choose format from the camera menu. You do not need to format on a computer ahead of time.

It’s ok but I need more clarity

I was hesitant in that this camera cost me $20. Sar far it's met expectations for the price point. I bought it to keep an eye on my new driver in the household as well as some insurance against a he said/she said.I've had a few more expensive cameras before and this isn't far off. The picture is reasonable. You're not going to read license plates but I wasn't expecting to. I waited until the SD card had filled and looped to make this review as I've had others that would get stuck once the card was full. No issues here.Easy setup. No weird controls to figure out. It's pretty intuitive. Long cord supplied for power to a 12V power socket. I routed mine to the fuse box for switch on power as my 12V socket has always on power.various stick on cable holders to route the cord. Suction cup or 3M, more permanent sticky mount. I liked this option. I hate suction cups falling off in extreme heat or cold.All in all, I'm pleased. I'll give it 6 months and if all is good, I'll probably get another for the summer car.

I was a bit worried about this purchase bc it seemed too cheap to be good. Leave it to China to make a $30 dash cam that works brilliantly. At first glance I thought the screen was cracked but it turned out to just be the film over the screen.The only thing you need to worry about is simply remembering to order a 32GB class 10 micro SD card. I recommend ordering the one with your purchase on Amazon but you can find one at HEB, Target, Best Buy, etc.Other than that, it’s simple plug n play. Insert the micro SD card, plug the power cord into the camera/car lighter, slide the camera into the suction cup bracket, clean your windshield (where you will attach your suction cup), press cup to windshield and push down clamp to make a taut seal.When you turn your battery on, the camera will turn on automatically. The blinking red light lets you know it’s recording. It’s already preset to “continuous loop”, it’ll record over any videos that you haven’t saved in perpetuity. It also records sound, and has great night vision and HD quality vid.NO PROBLEMS, highly recommended.

Does not accept more than 32 G memory card. i do not understand that. is the only problem I see

This camera is definitely small. Other reviewers said it was smaller than a credit card but I was still surprised at how small it was. I have it set on the highest resolution and the night time videos are grainy. The low light (dusk or dawn) and daylight are much better. I do like the light compensation setting that adjusts automatically. It's fairly easy to use. I do wish it had a LCD dimmer. I would like to leave the screen on all the time but at night it is too bright and distracting. It does have the option to turn the screen off after 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes. All in all, not a bad little camera for the price but you get what you pay for. UPDATE: After a year the power button no longer works. I have to unplug it from power port. The camera has not been mistreated.

I don't get the bad reviews, either people don't read the full description or they do not have much experience with Dash Cams. This one is well worth the money. I have been using dash cams for years now and believe me I used to think the more they cost the better they were. I learned pretty quick after I started testing the less expensive cams. Of course you have to familiarize your self with the cams. They are basically plug and play except for the minor tweaks you have to set up such as time and dates. One of my first cams was from the big (W) website for $50 I later found the same one here $15. then under $10. I came across this one and after seeing some of the actual videos that were posted I had to get one. So much so that I will be ordering a second one. I haven't spent over $20 for a dash cam ever since and believe me if you ever thought about getting one this is the one you want!! Oh and anybody and every body that know dash cams know that they need a continuous power source to work internal battery is not for operating it.

Unlike many Chinese products, this came in proper retail box with full documentation. All claimed functionalities were well documented and are fully functional. The screen being small works as a positive as inside the car, the dvr is supposed to be set and forget device. It's size being small creates less clutter inside car. As long as the product functions properly, which it seems to be doing, is most important. Loved the motion detection, timed screen off and parking monitor features. Daytime video is decent. Low light video is a bit noisy and could be better.
