Nice looking little fridge
Good looking little fridge. Holds wine, beers and soft drinks. Noise is minimal. As usual we didn't read the instructions until we had filled it. Would have been useful to know that we needed to let it stand for 2 hours before switching it on and that we needed to check the tray under the condenser. These things could have been shown on the front of the booklet. On the whole quite pleased.

Great fridge.
The design is sleek, professional and sophisticated. Materials and build quality feel and look really good. It's a quiet fridge, but not silent. It does make some noise which is noticeable, but I have it in the bedroom and found that it's not loud enough to disturb my sleep. The sound goes on and off as the compressor cools the fridge, but in the periods it's off it is literally silent. Generally, the fridge isn't loud enough to be an annoyance or keep you awake at night. Plenty of space. You can fit a lot in here, the pictures don't do it justice. The designers and manufacturers have done a really good job at maximising the space so you're able to fit a lot in here. It definitely keeps things cold. I have it on setting 4 on the thermostat, and the drinks are cold to touch. Good for stopping chocolates from melting during the summer too. The locking mechanism is easy to use and effective, so great for keeping unwanted hands out. My only issue is the light, I just wish it was a bit brighter. There's a switch to toggle the light on and off, but I keep it off because generally it's not bright enough to make much of a difference. But all round a great sleek and professional modern looking fridge, works really well and looks great.

What's not to like??
I don't normally do online reviews unless I am extremely upset (not often) or I am extremely happy, which is the case for this review. My SUBCOLD 50 has been installed in my StudyGym for just over a week and bearing in mind that I work in this room every day, all day, I do not truly notice any noise except for the initial start-up when the pump clicks in - that is something that any fridge will do irrespective of whether you spend fortunes or not! For those of you that have experienced minibar fridges in hotel bedrooms for example, they are normally encased in a cupboard so that dulls the noise somewhat - you will still not get rid of that noise entirely though. FYI, after I changed the door round and moved the fridge to a slightly different position, there was a bit more noise, and upon investigation I realised that the fridge was not sitting square on all its four feet - a slight adjustment was needed, and quietness was resumed. The fridge is beautifully cold, very smart to look at (my wife was similarly impressed, even though she was dismayed that my mancave is becoming a place of envy), and importantly allows me to store all my oversize 660ml beer bottles that I occasionally need access to during some of my evening Zoom calls (social, not work!). When I was lining up which fridge to buy, I immediately dismissed the ones with built in freezer boxes - not only are they so small internally that they're almost useless, their external size means they take up valuable storage space plus if you don't use them, then they're a waste of energy adding to the frost, meaning more regular defrosting is needed! The more alert review readers might notice that I am "missing" a shelf - I find that the wine rack shelf wastes a little space so I have taken it out - it may get put back if we need more wine storage during BBQs for example but for the moment, 660ml beer is king! Finally, for those of you that distrust clever photos that make the internal storage space in these appliances appear larger that they are, I can confirm that a 750ml champagne/wine bottle does fit perfectly properly on the top two shelves without a problem - I pulled the one that you can see to the front of the shelf so that you could actually see the cork in the picture but there is in fact some 5cms space to spare. All in all, an amazing fridge that does what it says on the tin - I'm extremely pleased with it!! PS, there was a little transit damage to the top hinge cover - SUBCOLD put a replacement in the post on the day I reported it - excellent customer service.

Nice fridge, good value albeit a little noisy.
Seems like a good fridge but I think it would be a little noisy for a bedroom or office. Ours is in the kitchen so not a problem. One frustrating thing was that the measurements are slightly wrong on the website. It shows in the photo dimensions height 52.5cm. We only have a gap of maximum 53cm. The total height with the door hinge fitting on the top is actually 53.5 which means we canโt open our cupboard door all the way. We thought about returning it but decided to live with it how it was as the fridge itself looks nice.

Two days in and very happy with it so far.
Having read the reviews I was a little hesitant to purchase this as some reporting negative experiences, particularly around temperature. Bit the bullet anyway and here is my experience 2 days after purchasing. TLDR - I bought this to fit under my desk, chill my beers to MY perfect temperature (7 degress C) and not be so noisy as to disrupt me. I can honestly say that it has 100% achieved my goals and I am very happy with the fridge and based on just 2 days of ownership, I highly recommend. I will update this review in a couple months to see if I am still happy with it. Detail:- First, arrived a day earlier than expected, off to a good start! Secondly, it was well packaged and easy to setup. Cut the plastic parcel wraps, the top of the box then lifted off and made it very easy to remove the fridge. Was literally plugged in and ready to fill within a couple minutes, after removing the bits of tape holding the shelves in etc. On to the most important part, how well does it measure up to expectations? This was bought to go under my desk, plenty of space and looks great, see pictures. Well, first thing was to turn light on, couldn't initially find the switch! Checked manual, no help. Then found it on the ceiling inside the Fridge, turned on and it works. Manual said to set to 5 for initial use and then adjust as necessary after 24 hours, recommending somewhere between 3 & 4 on the thermostat. I actually set mine at 3 and a half from the offset. Loading it up - I will generally only be using this for 330ml cans. First observation was that they don't quite fit on the top shelf standing up, literally a couple mm lower and they would which would increase capacity. But even with them lying down here are the numbers of 330ml cans I can fit on each shelf:- Top Shelf - 15 cans lying on side Middle Shelf - 30 Cans upright Bottom Shelf - 18 cans upright (could squezze 2 more in but wouldn't be neat and lined up!) These can be 330ml or 440ml and still fit 18. Total capacity 55 cans as stated, but I am sticking with 53 so it looks nice on display. Pictures show it with some 440ml cans on the bottom, you can fit 18 cans of either 330 or 440 on the bottom shelf. I also have some shot bottles in there at the moment! Temperature:- The most crucial part, craft beers generally should be kept at around 7C, so this was my target. As mentioned, I left it at thermostat setting 3.5 for 24 hours+, checking by touch over that period I could feel the cans cooling. After 24 hours I used my digital thermometer to check temperature. On thermostat 3.5 this was 6 degrees C, almost perfect. So, dropped the thermostat down to about 3 and a quarter and left it for 12 hours. Rechecked temperature and now bang on 7 degrees. Noise levels:- I work from home so am in my office all day and the fridge is under my desk. I am amazed at how quiet this is! In all honesty, my laptop fans are noisier than the fridge, so never notice it. When I turned off the laptop you could barely hear the fridge at all, very impressed! video included to try and demonstrate how quiet it is. Light: As mentioned in other reviews, the light works fine, but when the fridge is full it is almost pointless. The cans on the top shelf block the light (obviously), so has very little effect. It would be far better to have a couple of leds either side at the front (or a strip led at the top front) so that it lights up the front cans for display, but at the end of the day that is just for aesthetics and does not affect the operation.
