It's either this or a bench grinder to keep the nail short on our Rottweiler. The risk of hitting the quick is too great using clippers. I used to use a bench grinder on the nails but this is much smaller.

I used to use the thicker, more round tips for grinding dogs nails at work.. but they were always so big I would often catch the paw pads when grinding nails.. now, after getting this tip- that literally never happens anymore. This tip works so well and precise on any and all types of dog nails.. both big and small sized nails.. works very well.. and super fast as well. Leaves dogs nails feeling very smooth and rounded out afterwards. Love how the tip gets smaller/ skinnier towards the end so you can get them right on point.10/10- definitely recommend this grinding tip to others who would benefit from using this as a dog groomer or even just at home on your own dogs!! This tip works so well for tiny dogs, and just as good at home on my bigger sized German Shepherd dogs!! Works perfect across the board for literally every dog!!

I thought for $35 must be better than sanding drums.! lol, ya right! I can use drums near 3-4 times on my Yorker…! First time I used these I noticed so easy that it’s dulling out and isn’t cutting worth a dam! First time..! I highly recommend sanding drums….! They will last forever

I mostly Dremel our German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois toenails. This grinder is perfect for the job. As with any new tool, I did a lot of positive reinforcement, slow introduction with the dogs. Now when I pull out the Dremel, they both go to our usual grooming location and wait their turn for toenail trimming.
