Good for deep muscle massage
I have severe arthritis, which is bad enough in itself, but it also sets off deep muscle pain throughout my body. A few years ago, when my son was 3, I was laying face down on the living room floor in an attempt to stretch the tension out of my back and shoulders. My son decided it would be a hilarious and opportune moment to jump on my back. Initially this shocked and slightly winded me but, as he giggled and stomped about on my back, I realised that his tiny feet were actually kneading the muscles in my back and shoulders and relieving the pain. So I just let him get on with it. This soon became a regular source of hilarious amusement for him and therapy for me.However, children soon grow out of things and the amusement for him passed. I'm not the type of parent who would ask their child to do something that they don't wish to do, so I needed to find another way of grinding those back and shoulder muscles.I discovered the Backnobber II when searching for tried and tested methods of self back massage techniques and decided to give it a try. Whilst it is not a substitute for having a small person take a stroll along your spine and shoulders, the design does allow for some deep massage into those tired and knotted muscles. The two slightly different sized heads get into specific muscles and help to really target the exact point of the problem. The length and shape of the massager allows you to put the right amount of pressure exactly where you need it giving some much welcomed relief. It doesn't take up much room regarding storage and simply hangs on the rail in my wardrobe when I am done with it.I wouldn't be without this handy product and definitely regard it as money well spent.

The backnoober is a fabulous tool
It is an absolutely fabulous tool. It is NOT a gadget. It was recommended to me by my massagist who does "deep tissue" massage. I have been using it often since I received it a few weeks ago. It permits me to do "deep tissue" massage on my own body. Using my thumb or knuckles is awkward, and they tire quickly. However, the backnobber is easy to use, and I can reach many spots on my back that are impossible to reach with my hands. The S shape is really genius because it allows me to maneouver and apply as much pressure as I want or need quite effortlessly. The different amount of curve of each part of the S and the different size of the knobs at the end give me more flexibility. Finally, the backnobber can be separated into two halves, making it easy to travel with.

Blissful
I bought this yesterday due to sitting at my desk at home in agony around my shoulder blade, I think due to too much time on the mouse and my desk not being quite the right height, as well as a long standing niggly injury. I looked at the various electric massagers available but opted for this because it was much cheaper and had such good reviews. I am so glad I did. It works really well - the material it's made from is very solid and weighty and the design means it's really easy to position it and rub. It is a blissful relief and is making a big difference. It won't stop me needing to see a masseur / osteopath, but in terms of relieving day-to-day agony it seems to be working. The fact that it comes apart and so is easy to travel with will be really helpful too.

Not all the answers
This is an excellent product and I would recommend to those that get spasm-type knots in muscle. I got for musculoskeletal back pain and it can focus on knots. It is not a cure however and the effects are temporary, but relieving. It requires repeating and not always the answer.

Best money I spent in a long time
I absolutely love this! I have cervical instability and shoulder impingement that leads to solid muscles in my shoulder and is very painfull. Using this you can feel them release under the pressure. They come back again in 24hpurs but use this and they are gone again. This provides so much relief for me. My mum used this on a visit as after suffering a stroke she has right side paralysis in lower arm and wrist which again causes pain and muscle tightness. With this she has relief as well. Her neck has not felt so good in a long time. I have also used on my back. The shape and size is great for me and was also great for my mum who only can use one hand. It allows great control on how much pressure to apply. The booklet is also really helpful and shows you how to use it so no messing about trying to figure it out. Would recommend to anyone with knots and neck or shoulder, back trouble.

Interesting product not precisely what I expected
From reviews, I really thought this was a fantastic self massage product to help with neck and back pains. Must admit that it's not easy to handle, the pressure points are not easy to find and by the time you do find them your arms ache given the many manipulations you have to do to ensure you're reaching the appropriate spots. If you're familiar with this sort of pressure point therapy probably is a good product. For those of us that aren't, certainly not the product to buy.

It Works!
I have suffered from knots under my shoulder blades and the base of my neck for as long as I can remember, taking painkillers, suffering headaches etc sometimes I can ease them with exercise, but always after about 2-3 months I need a deep tissue massageI have tried all the gadgets to try and help, back stretchers, rollers, percussion massagers, creams, shoulder braces etc, but no joyI decided to give this a go based on the positive reviews, but remained skeptical, due for a massage I thought nothing to loseImmediately it felt amazing, to good infact, day one I overdid it, the pleasure pain was amazing, but I got carried away and the next few days I was sore, I then started to use it with a bit more respect, and can confirm after 7 days of use my knots are gone.I had no pain today, but gave it a go anyway and was amazed to feel a small knot very deep in a blade. The back knobbler instantly released itI cannot praise this equipment enough, for the price of a single massage I can now treat myself

The customer service exceeded my expectations. Perfect for buying products you can't find elsewhere.
Do not use near water, consult a doctor before use if you have a medical condition, avoid using excessive pressure, and ensure the device is used with the correct power source.
