Liked the idea of Solar charging and the FM radio's a plus. Good enough sound through decent headphones. I think this is great for the money.

After my old MP3 player bit the dust - I needed a new one. After continuous searching and reading review after review, I settled on this AGPTEK MP3 player.Not at all difficult to work out how to use, but then I am a tech nerd, and has great sound. Easy to use all in all. I am happy.*UPDATE - 28/06/18*The headphone connection stopped working after Two months of light use!

Easy to operate, and the sound produced was clear with decent headphones, but the very first time I caught the wire while brushing past something and tugging it slightly, the connector was ruined, it will now only provide audio to both channels if I put tension on the connection slightly towards one side.

I have had my AGPTEC with me during recent travels through India and other places and found it the best and most versatile MP3 player I have had. I have the version with the Solar cell and though using it a lot in flight or on the road, not once had the need to charge it using the USB cord. It will even charge off artificial light! The menu system is the easy, even for a techno ignorant like me. The screen is a bit too small for photographs or downloaded films etc. To load any music talking books or any other files it functions in the same way as a USB stick and I can even use it to store photographs and files. I have also used it for making memo notes and am very pleased with it. Highly recommended.

I got 25 hours give or take an hour of play time with FLAC, mp3, AAC(Not listed as supported but works) file formats while keeping the solar charger covered. For the price this blows Sony and Fiio mp3 players out the water(it's all made in china). It also compares the same in sound quality. You get 8GB after formating so it's actually around 9GB if you use other brands marketing.What it needs as an UPGRADE: lanyard hole, water resistance, a front cover and maybe a metal case. I organise my songs in folders and it allows me to view these folders and play songs inside the folder but not loop all the songs within the folder. Everything is simple to use and nothing is retard proof but this is as close as it gets.My play time is based on 3-6 hour intervals over 2 days with the back covered up.I really hope this mp3 player sticks around and maybe gets a few upgrades. I will be buying the next model if it comes out the solar panel is an amazing idea for an mp3 player. And this mp3 player is extremely power efficient so it makes great use of it.

Converted several flac files to 240khz HQ mp3 using dbpoweramp and the quality of the played back file was adequatePlenty of storage , was worried 8GB might not be enough, but loaded 1000 HQ MP3 songs no problem.Does seem to stay charged for a long while, not sure if the solar is helping here.Having a Radio is very useful.

Bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter who loves music and she is over the moon with it. It’s a good purchase for a first music player.
