I was thrilled when it said that it was Alexa compatible. I really wanted to use the toggle switch to voice control my ceiling fans but, when I went to add it to my account I could only add the outlet. I hope they will finish soon.

It works. I am using it with google home and if the switch is properly paired up with the outlet, google home can turn it on and off. It has a few seconds delay though, and google home always sees it offline. Sometimes I’ve had it not work but mostly it works. I unplugged the outlet part and plug in and that fixed it.

Great idea, easy setup BUT...No intigration with IFTTT or Smartthings. VERY unstable intigration with Alexa and Google Home.I would hold off on this purchase if you plan on using this with another system for now. It’s a 5 star product if you want to use it as a stand alone system, but that’s not very convenient.Once they get this issue solved, I will be buying more of them.Why not offer a Z-wave or ZigBee option?Just had to lower this to a two star. I absolutely love the concept here but the company cannot execute. I have a lot of smart switches from different manufacturers split between two homes. This one is the most unstable. I have to reenter the Alexa commands codes every other day.I’ll switch it over to my Google and see if it works better.Two days later; Had it on my Google assistant. Same problems, very unstable keeps falling off.This works great on it’s own app. If they would just make these as a z-wave or zigbee device and keep the price point down, they would corner the market. Setup is such a breeze. I would put them on all of my switches.COME ON SWITCHMATE, DO THIS THE RIGHT WAY, YOU’D BE HUGE!!!!

We live in rural area and have poor lighting in some areas. I bought the kit and use it to turn on the porch light and to control lamps in two different buildings. Very easy to set up and use. i especially like the power unit as it replaces a wall socket and provides USB outlets to charge phones, etc. Now the wall sockets can used for lamps and other devices that I can turn on/off with my phone. There are manual buttons on the units as well so you don't have to use your phone if you choose. I have a bathroom installation where I actually use the manual buttons more than the phone. LOL I'll be getting some more.

Doesn’t really work well with the google assistant family. I have 3 home minis and a nest hub. The plug and related switches work ok from the switchmate app but when you try voice commands it says it can’t reach the switches or plug sometimes it still works. When you use the home app it is hit or miss on if it will work, often though it shows the device as offline.UPDATE: Now they will not work with my Google Home. 5 Days ago they mysteriously unlinked themselves. All 5 devices simultaneously showed as unlinked from account at 7:27AM. I tried to relink them but the google home app will not pull up the page to input the pairing code. It puts a status bar at the bottom of the app saying Account Linked successfully, yet the devices will not show up! I have tried everything including deleting my house from google and rebuilding the entire setup. I would not recommend this product to anyone!

I had my doubts at first. Was a little difficult to integrate with alexa. Had do install twice but, after the 2nd time it started working properly. I love it.

I didn't like having to reorder just so I could get the correct model that I wanted, other than that, the items worked great.

This works great and is super easy to install. Works well with Alexa, although there is a bit of a delay.... and about once a month I have to unplug and replug the base unit to reset connection to Wi-Fi... not a big deal. I have not used timer feature so did not review that. Love being able to ask Alexa to turn on the fireplace!

Hi, my first power I updated the firmware and, like many others, could not connect to wi fi. The 2nd one I skipped updating and connected first. Imagine my delight and surprise when it worked and the wi fi networks came into view! I could then update the firmware and it works perfectly. I wish the company would understand this and tell people to do this. And I don't know if there is any way you can reset to factory settings but that might be another thing to ask the company. So my 2 requirements were: a switch to work with alexa + no wiring. So this is exactly what I needed. The price to pay is you need to buy this version with the power outlet to get the linking to alexa options. And that each time you will add a new rocker or toggle, you will need to unlink and relink alexa and the switchmate skill. Which, if that's what I have to do, it's a no brainer for me. Thank you switchmate!!!! And swanky packaging BTW!
