Being a half-cup size, they are perfect for dipping sauces, condiments, small portion of yoghurt, etc. They also fit the lids I had for another glass container, so I am able to use it for storage as well. Love the color and the patterns. My only issue with the set is that all the patterns are mix and match, the inside and outside patterns are different, except for one of the bowls - the pattern is the same inside and out. It is upsetting.
