Free to Learn (Hawthorn Press Early Years): Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Care and Education

Brilliant book all parents should read if thinking of Steiner education for their children.

As a teacher who worked in mainstream state schools for many years, but who was new to Steiner approaches, I found this book hard to put down and read it from cover to cover. It was one of those books which made me think, smile, and exclaim with wonder and agreement. So much of my early years experience seemed to fall into place, and it explained why certain mainstream ways of working never really seemed to be effective. I am SO much in agreement with the author about how children learn! I wish that some of this wisdom could infiltrate mainstream settings.
