Cocoon Neoprene Cover for UCO Lantern

Fits great seems to do the job quite well,haven’t taken a camping yet.

This will protect my UCO lantern for years to come. A bit on the tight side but worth it.

This neoprene cocoon fits the UCO original candle lantern very well! You just compact the lantern and slide it over 1 end and then stretch the other end over and it just stays. There is no zipper to fool with or fail, it's just 2 halves sewn together at 1 point around the circumference, making a hinge. It's a simple little piece of protection that works! On a recent camping trip I tossed the lantern in the cocoon to a friend about 15 ft. away and he missed (or maybe my aim was off), it hit ground and other than being dirty all was fine! I would recommend this item!

Well made. Quality of assembly is apparent. Good material. Will stand up to normal use, being packed in a bag or backpack. Not crushproof, but will protect your UCO candle lantern glass from breakage.

The fit is very snug but I suppose it has to be in order to protect properly. It won't save your lantern from being crushed, but it will save it from the day to day drop and mishandling, as well as less protective packing in the backpack.

I really had reservations about buying these things, being made in China and costing $7.58 for a piece of neoprene (foam) but said what the hell and ordered two of them. I have to say I was really surprised when I received them, the stitching and the fabric covering the neoprene was very nice and it even had a cool little UCO logo on the top cover. These cocoons have a hinge and no latch to keep them closed but they fit pretty snug, I made a latch out of Velcro for them but I think it's just overkill. You can also fit the lantern with the bail and chain in these but they will have a bulge at the bottom and they won't stand up, if you don't mind that then go for it. The only con that I see with these is that they should have made them 1/2 taller so the bail and chain can fit better, other then that I highly, highly recommend these to all of you UCO Micro owners out there.

I have bought a number of these over the past 5 years. They are the perfect match for the candliers. I buy one for every candlier that I buy, as they protect them well. I keep one in each of our cars and 2 in each of our vans for emergency heat. I have also given these sets away as house warming gifts to new ones experiencing our harsh cold winters. I love these cocoons and would not part with one of them.

I've had candle lanterns as part of my household emergency kit for years. Invariably, the hooks, chains, and wire bails would get tangled during storage, with is a pain resolving after the lights have gone out. I finally broke down and bought these well-made covers. I should have done so sooner. They easily slide over the collapsed lantern, and are roomy enough to permit the inclusion of a book of safety matches. Now the candle lanterns are covered, protected, and ready to go without a hassle. Delivery was very prompt, everything was well-packaged for shipment, and the covers were exactly as described.

Took a gal camping, ordered this cocoon in preparation because I wanted to be safe.. Usually I use Trojan cocoons but all the hardcore campers say this is the way to go... It didn't fit when the time came!!!! My camping trip was awesome cuz when it didn't fit she said I didn't have to use a cocoon at all!!!! The pros know what their doing! Thanks Amazon!
