Great tool!
This is a game changer no more unraveling the extension cord or looking for a outlet, now I just reach over and fire it up 🔥 , but this sucker will drain a battery. If your already invested in the bosch line and have a bunch of 8ah it's a must have. At the time of this review the heat gun was 101$ no battery

Heats up quick, and very useful for heat shrinking
I use this in the oil fields in West Texas to heat shrink wires and it works great. My friend that uses dewalt says this one is better than his.

Expensive but works well.
Use 8ah & 12ah batteries.Expensive and not battery efficient but an absolute blessing not to be tied to a cord on some jobs.

useful if you understand its battery limits
got it in the mail today. package looked like a new item, but the contents inside were dirty like the item had been used at least once and returned, but was still newish condition. the sale price was just under $100, so I kind of had a hunch it was a refurb.I can think of various times where this will be handy to have for vinyl applications, but on the first run found that it WILL suck a battery down in about 10 min. I was using it for several minutes at a time trying to heat up PVC enough to bend it. I expect my old corded heatgun will still have it's place.

Beats the competition hands down!
The Bosch 18v heat gun heats up to temperature faster than any other cordless heat gun I’ve tried. Designed to cool quickly also is a big plus. Very happy with purchase and would definitely recommend
