American Circus Posters (Dover Fine Art, History of Art) Paperback – November 1, 1978

Just as the picture! Beautiful color illustrations! Will be using this as inspirations for my artdoll creations!

This is a great book if you are looking for circus party decor. The posters are so beautiful I almost hated to cut the book apart.

It is indeed as represented. The posters were from "way back", and I didn't find them to have the appeal I was looking for. Someone interested in circus illustrations from that era would probably be pleased.

I bought this book for inspiration and research, in preparation for a stage production of BARNUM. The imagery is fantastic and the inspiration was priceless. It brought me back into the era when the Circus was a vitsl part of our society, an element all but forgotten today.

was hoping for more of the sideshow/ circus freak posters. all poster were vibrant and great to look through, lots to see. enjoyable none the less!

Coolest posters!! Used these for a circus themed birthday party. We took the book apart and hung the posters on the walls. THe variety was great, colors bright and images fun. Definitely a hit!

As described. Frame-able, good quality reprints of posters on high quality, thicker paper. Suitable for framing if desired.

Bit expensive. But great pics for framing. I bought this for my baby's nursery which has a circus theme. Bit expensive.

薄い本なのですが、アメリカの1890年頃から1930年頃のサーカスポスターを集めた本です。各ページいっぱいにフルカラーのポスターがどどーんと大きく扱われていて細部まで見ごたえあり。お手頃価格なので、広告系の人だけではなくブラッドベリの『何かが道をやってくる』なんかが好きな人も買ってもよいのでは？
