This item includes all wood (2x6 base and 2x4 uppers with pre-drilled holes), hardware, and instructions for the bed frame. Comes planed smooth and unpainted so you can customize it to your decor. New for April 2017- after listening to our customers, we are now giving all beds a "final sand", so that the edges are all a little more rounded and kid safe! You will need a #1 and #2 square bit (longer style), an extra set of hands (although I've done this myself many times), and a common household power drill (nothing fancy). If you can put together a bookshelf from Walmart this shouldn't be difficult!
