Large Mini Circular Saw
Well made mini circular saw, with good quality material and construction. Much heavier and larger than expected, especially being AC powered, without a heavy battery pack. This saw is actually heavier than our full-size regular circular saw. Good accurate cutting, but sometimes hard to see metal guide when saw dust accumulates. Not sure how to fit included small vacuum adapter onto vacuum cleaner hose, as not covered in instructions. Needs a detailed printed instructions manual, in addition to the online video. Laser light very handy, but needs extra batteries, as the provided batteries were already pre-installed and not sure how long they were there and depleted. Seems very durable and very powerful. Good value for money. But wish it was lighter and more compact for easier maneuvering, handling, and control. The centered placement of the saw blade, versus foward positioning, means it may not cut all the way to the end, within tightly enclosed spaces. Very good value with the four different blades included. It would be better if a storage carrying case was provided, and not an extra cost.Recommended when on sale.

Quick and easy
This has been a great addition to my tools. For smaller jobs it makes it easier to get the task done. Attach the vacuum connection for easy cleanup

I would like to like this saw more than I actually do
I bought this saw for two main reasons: 1) its compact size, because I carry crates of power tools from job to job, 2) its corded, electric motor, because I’m sick and tired of battery powered tools.I am very satisfied with its quality of manufacture and motor torque.I use it primarily to break down sheet goods and for the occasional crosscut of 2X framing lumber. When operated at the max depth of cut it is easy enough to hold provided that you are right-handed. On the rare occasion when I have needed to use it left-handed it is all but impossible to operate as the trigger and safety switches are not easily accessible to that hand. This saw will crosscut 2X framing lumber with the blade set at 90 degrees. It will not do so with the blade beveled at 45 degrees.Interestingly, the 24 tooth wood blade that comes with this saw has a diameter that is 1/4” (5mm) wider than the other blades. That extra 1/4” is what allows it to crosscut framing lumber. Be mindful of this if and when tou need to buy new blades. You’ll need a 4-3/4” (120mm) diameter blade. In addition, the arbor hole in all the blades that accompany this saw is 3/8” (9.5mm). Many third party blades are 10mm, so you really want to go looking for blades having a 3/8” arbor hole up to 4-3/4” (120mm) in diameter.I have two important criticisms of this saw.1) It is difficult to hold when making a shallow depth of cut because the handhold is positioned awkwardly high. Consequently the accuracy of the cut suffers and the operator gets tired more easily.2) The saw is small and light (which is great) but becomes unwieldy when connected to a vacuum hose. You generate a LOT of sawdust with this tool. You want a vacuum. But the high angle at which you must often hold the saw coupled with the drag caused by the vacuum hose make this a tool that you don’t want to work with all day long.To correct the above shortcomings this saw should be redesigned in the D-handle form that virtually all other circular saws employ. Years ago I owned a 5” Black and Decker corded electric circular saw that was spectacular in all respects. Seriously Dovaman, if you could replicate that saw with the same build quality that you’ve shown with this saw, it would be worth 10 stars.Other observations about this tool:The laser is not particularly accurate and it requires a watch battery. This is a feature I could easily live without. The edge guide is fine but its measurement markings are not accurate.I use the 90-degree vacuum hose adapter to deflect at least some sawdust away from my face.As circular saws go it is not especially loud.Bottom line: for occasional use you can put up with its shortcomings. But this would be a far better tool if it were just as small but in a D-handle form.

Meets all the listed specifications
A little heavier than I expected, but not difficult to operate when using front auxiliary handle.

Too bad
I really liked the machine but I had to return it since it was too heavy for me to use sine it was 8.5 lbs. I was really sad not being able to use it.

Small nevertheless fierce in procession cutting
How efficiently it work, maybe small however, work extremely wonderful and with procession cutting as well.

Great tool...but only if you have really BIG hands
The performance is excellent, and it deserves 5 stars - but you must have big hands for the proper grip. The weight would not be a problem if the Safety button is relocated from the left side to the top. That is the biggest design flaw that I see with this DOVAMAN Circular Saw.The safety button is located on the left side - meaning if you are right-handed like myself and with average or small hands, it is impossible to reach across the neck and hold down the safety button with your thumb while pulling the trigger with your fingers at the same time. That is how most small and light weight power tools are designed to work - but this tool is NOT light weight. If this DOVERMAN Saw was re-designed with the safety button on the Top instead of the left Side, I would easily give it 5 Stars. My solution to the problem was to use a clamp to permanently hold down the safety button ( see picture : Not really recommended for safety purpose). That freed up my right fingers to easily pull the trigger and my thumb to grip the top.I hope the manufacturers will take note and improve on the design.
