Precision made all metal fire piston kit Everything you need to operate this device is included right out of the packet , It comes complete with spare piston seals , tinder , piston grease , instructions and a even neat little storage bag there is even an emergency fire steel inside just for good measure. at each end of the piston is a screw cap container which come pre loaded with tinder & grease A Fire piston works on the same compression ignition principle as a diesel engine , when air is compressed rapidly it gets extremely hot (~500 degrees) because you also compress the oxygen in the air into a much smaller space you effectively increase its saturation as well which results in ignition of many materials PLEASE NOTE Fire pistons do take considerable force to operate you must compress the piston rapidly for ignition to occur and it may take a bit of practice to achieve
