Very Impressed - Worked First Time
After reading a review from another purchaser on here, stating it worked well on their Bose Wave, I thought I'd try and see if it would help mine, which skipped all over the show. Placed it in, listened to a few seconds of a classical song and popped it out. Tried a disc I knew always seemed to skip, and it worked immediately. Delighted! Thanks to that reviewer and I would absolutely say if your Wave is playing up, buy this.

AWESOME - WORKS ON SLOT CD PLAYERS.
I have owned 2 bose wavelength cd players for 6 years. Recently they had trouble reading the CDs. Skipping. I order the Hama CD cleaning disc from Amazon. I got the original item as displayed in the advert. Although it says in the instructions it cannot be used for slot CD players IT CAN. i inserted the cd which has some tiny red brushes on one side into my slot cd players. The disc plays 30 seconds of the opera Carmen. Then i put the disc in that was skipping and it played first time on both my machines without any skipping. This product works. It cleans the laser reading lens in the cd player. How simple yet very effective.

health & safety issue with the packaging for sure......
this review is not about the cd cleaner as it hasn't proven itself yet, the boom box still needs another go with the cleaner, but for a German made product i'm amazed that such difficult packaging would be allowed--nearly cut my fingers a couple of times on the sharp ridged plastic, struggling to open the package, a bubble wrap bag would have been just as secure, without the possibility of injury...so this is my warning about sharp plastic and difficulty struggling to free the darn thing...

It actually works!
I have an old Panasonic hifi with 5 cd changer that's around 15 yrs old, but the CD stopped working. I ve always meant to take it somewhere to have it fixed, presuming it would need a new lazer. I only tried this product as punt not expecting it to work. But it has! It said in the pack that it should play music while it cleaned. Well mine didn't but it did the job. If you're having problems with your cd not reading tracks, then its worth trying this first. Best £5 I've spent!

Did not fix skipping may have made it worse
Before I bought this, CDs had been skipping. Now they are skipping MORE or not registering at all.- First run of the cleaner - classical music played for the allotted 30 seconds.- Tried first previously-skipping CD. Still skipping.- Tried second previously-skipping CD. Still skipping.- Tried the cleaning CD again. Mid-way through classical music, skips and hi-fi fails to register a CD at all (display from "CD 1" to "CD 0").- Ran it again.- Tried first previously-skipping CD. Still skipping.- Tried head cleaning CD again. CD registers now, but but track will notplay. Takes a long while for 0.29seconds track to register, and then it will not play.- Ejected and re-inserted cleaner. Track registers and plays part way through twice, but then player struggles to register the track again.- Now back to trying an actual music CD again - it now fails to register. It is entirely possible I am just dealing with a malfunctioning CD player. We are talking about a unit circa 2001.I bought the CD cleaner to eliminate the simple possibility of a dirty lens. It's hard to say whether 1) it is a dirty lens; 2) if so, how effective this product is or 3) whether the unit is broken and beyond fix by a lens cleaning CD.

Adequate for price.
Considering what it comprises of, it would cost you 50p to make, but it works!. Removed cover from an old Technics Cd Player to find some accumulated dust specs on Laser lens. Took photo (×30mag.) replaced cover and used Hama Disc 3 Times. Removed cover took photos and compared results.Dust 90% removed but outer lens specs remained.Sounded fine. Finally used dedicated lens cleaner, to remove stubborn residue on lens.Sound, no different. Sound purchase if ever there was one. Happy listening.Karl O'Neill.
