A HDMI Switch that works!!
My review is for the 4K @ 60hz model - VHD-UHD4X1A. I have multiple 4k sources including (Comcast Box, Apple TV 4K, Xbox, and PS). I have them all plugged into this switch going to my soundbar Samsung N950 which does Dolby Atmos. I had tried a few different switches before which had bandwidth issues and handshaking problems when connected. I either had a black screen or I had to toggle my TV (LG B6 OLED) on and off a bunch of times to get it to display anything again. So, after my doubts that I will never find a HDMI switch that can truly support the bandwidth that it says and not end up with another "4k switch" from china that I will just end up returning, I decided to give it one last try with this one.Boy am I glad I did! It works perfectly, the second I turn on my TV and soundbar, everything pops right on instantly. I confirmed 4K @ 60hz with my apple TV and my xbox. I was also able to get the full bandwidth of chroma 4.2.2 on the apple TV with 4k HDR. I couldn't be happier to have finally found a switch that works.I am knocking 1 star off for the poor IR integration with the remote. I am only able to get about 6 feet away for the remote to work. Any further way, like where I sit in my living room is 8 feet away from the TV, it doesn't work. This is a small pain in comparison to not even having video so I will look into a universal remote and hopefully resolve this issue.

Not 100% compatible with Nintendo Switch.
If you are extracting the audio from the Nintendo Switch there seems to be an issue where the very beginning of the sound is clipped or silent. This is very apparent when you are scrolling around the Nintendo Switch menu. Typically you will hear a click for each menu selection/item. However, if you have the Nintendo Switch docked to this HDMI switch you cannot hear the clicking of each menu item. It seems to be muted. If you play a game or other extended sound then you can hear it but for some reason a very small portion of the beginning of the audio is muted from the Nintendo Switch and this causes very short sounds like menu items to be completely silent or unheard. Seems to work with the Xbox One X and the PS4 just fine. If you use it strictly as an HDMI switch it works fine. It is only when extracting the audio with the Nintendo Switch does it have issues but that is why I bought this (and paid extra vs a standard HDMI switch) so back it goes.

WARNING - Dolby vision with Xbox one x and lg 2017 oled models does not work
I bought this product back in February 2018 to make sure I could send an audio signal fto my Sonos system without lip sync delay as Sonos only supports optical. Fine for that. However I bought this to make sure it was future proof and it claims to support Dolby vision hdr. Microsoft have just updated the x box systems to work with Dolby Vision. I can confirm my tv is officially supported in Microsoft’s list. However I got a message saying your tv supports an older version of Dolby digital which is obviously wrong. I can confirm if I bypass the hdmi switch and connect the hdmi cable directly from Xbox to tv, I get Dolby digital perfectly. THIS BOX DOES NOT PASS A DOLBY VISION. DIGITAL SIGNALUPDATE.I checked all hdmi cables going direct from Xbox one x to lg oled b7, all pass a Dolby digital hdr picture. As soon as they are connected via this switch is resorts to hdr10. I suspect the switch is indeed supporting an older version of Dolby digital which the Xbox can’t handle - that was the message Xbox one stayed for the 4K comparability. It’s not the tv, not the cables it’s this switch

High quality 4K HDR HDMI switch
This is the real deal. I tried a $30 switch first and it didn’t support HDR at 60Hz and only supported 4:2:0 chroma at 4K. Picture was bad too. So I returned and bought this one. More expensive but totally worth it as it fully supports my Apple TV 4K and 4k60 HDR at 4:2:2. The picture quality is the same going through this switch as running the Apple 4K direct to my Oppo udp-205. The datasheet states 18Gbps. It is a high quality build all around. It does not have an IR window in the u it. You have to use the included IR cable which I actually like because I can position it perfectly to pick up my IR blaster. Also I didn’t pick up on this before buying the ARC only works on the optical port, not HDMI. I don’t need it at all so haven’t tried it, but I thought that was weird.

Died at one year
Worked great for a year than just stopped working and would not power on and stay on. Giving only 3 stars for not being reliable.

IR Control Warning!
This unit does not have an IR receiver built into the unit. Instead it has a 3.5mm IR port on the back of the device and the device comes with an IR receiver to 3.5mm cable to remedy this. There are few things to consider with this design. If you are hiding this switch away and don't have line of sight, and you run the IR receiver to 3.5mm cable to your TV then it works as intended. If you have line of sight to the switch and don't need the cable, you need to run to the TV anyways or figure out somewhere to put it where it has line of sight, to have remote control function. This is clunky and adds an unnecessary wire to the setup. If you have an IR blaster/extender for your AV system already (example of product listed below). You can't run a 3.5mm cable from the blaster to this switch, it doesn't work. I tried two different brand of blasters and I tried it with TS, TRS and TRRS spec of 3.5mm cable (number of rings on the jack). None of them worked. What did work was tapping the switches IR receiver to an IR blaster dongle. It works but I'm not happy I have to do this. And I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable leaving this setup at a family, friends or clients site if I was setting this up for them. So unless you have an RS32 control system, I'd look for another model.Otherwise it's a great product and there have been no HDMI/EDID handshake issues.https://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Extender-Repeater-BAFX3233/dp/B009ZGK6QS/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1537901578&sr=1-3&keywords=ir+blasterhttps://www.amazon.com/Sewell-BlastIR-Receiver-Extender-Supports/dp/B00OVAPS3Y/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1537901578&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=ir+blaster&psc=1
