Review: AV2 connection is for backup camera not AV1 - The instructions are minimal. AV1 is for an input like DVD (not useful) AV2 is the one to connect to the back up camera. If you connect to AV1, it will switch to AV2 when you put transmission into reverse. If you have nothing in AV2 it goes blank. I used an RCA male to male to make the connection to AV2.

**Q: Does it have an image zoom function?**
A: No zoom function

**Q: How far do the clips open to go on mirror?**
A: They extend out about 3/4 to 1 inch, but not past the edge of the plastic casing of the monitor. Mine fit perfect on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra touring, but I’ve since upgraded to the 10” version for my new truck.

**Q: Does it require a SIM card?**
A: It’s not a cellphone so no.

**Q: Can av 1. be used for a second camera input and could you manually override av2 in order to view av1 while in reverse if you wanted to do so?**
A: yes you can
