The Rolls Royce Of Bells
I purchased two of these Bells, one from Amazon, and the other direct from Lion Bellworks.....The postage was £1.00 cheaper from the manufacturer. Beautifully made bells, Fitted to my Pashley and Road bike, and they look and work fantastic, The Brass dome etched with the manufacturers name with England proudly etched next to it. Great sound, with a lovely tone which resonates for some time after being struck...You find yourself "dinging" your bell just for the hell of it lol. Stainless fittings which means no rust too. If you love your bikes as I do...treat them to one of these...you and your bike will be happy :). Added Note about the Customer Service At Lion Bellworks.....Absolutely Superb....How A Company Should Be Run.

Wonderful - very loud!
In truth I bought one of these initially for a retro bike project I was working on - helped by the fact it's made in the UK. The quality is superb and the sound amazing. It also looks so good, I've had loads of people comment on it. I recently bought a town bike and binned the plastic and tin bell fitted and bought another one of these - it looks just as good on a modern bike - love it! There are cheaper versions available, don't bother - none of them are a patch on this!

A beautiful piece of British engineering.
Beautifully made, although the name is laser etched on mine not stamped like the one shown in the picture.Sounds great! As far as making it ring on rough ground, i think you'd have to ride on something so rough and at such speed that it would be unbearable to the rider and chances are you'd be snapping spokes before it inadvertently rang.I love the fact the clamp and fittings are stainless steel, bells always come with nasty zinc plated steel fittings that start rusting as soon as you wheel them out of the shop.Highly recommended and should not be confused in any way with the far eastern made versions.Hell just buy it because it's "Made in England" - how often do you see that on anything these days!?

Sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more.
After having gone through several inexpensive plastic/steel bells and having them all fail after daily use in all weathers, I decided to get one for each bike that will last forever. After searching online, Lion Bellworks came up as good value for money being a brass/stainless steel combination. I am not fond of plated steel that rusts soon after using it for the first time, hence the desire for desire for stainless steel bracket. Cheaper brass bells, usually made in China, have plated mounting brackets. The beautiful ring is just a bonus. And it is beautiful. It's nice to know the UK still produces some quality products, Carradice bike luggage also comes to mind.If you are sitting on the fence about the price, don't. Consider it as something that does the job well, will last a long time and look good doing it. Buy it once and transfer it from bike to bike as you change bikes. If you are an everyday rider like me that has to ride amongst pedestrians, you'll know how important a gentle warning device is. I also have an AirZound for the inconsiderate motor vehicle drivers who need something a little louder to let them know I am not happy with their actions occasionally.

Excellent product, quality packing without
Hello, Excuse if the wording of the commentary has grammatical errors, I used an online translator. If the bell meets my expectations, the workmanship is excellent and the sound is perfect, a defect should put out a protection for it on the handlebars of the bicycle. The product arrived on schedule, which should take care of is the packaging because the box was assembled from ordinary way with a piece of cardboard with handwritten data and bell in a bag of ordinary plastic, the packaging has nothing to do with the product that carries within it and of course with Amazon packaging that I like. Would you recommend this bell to all lovers bicycles Thanks for putting at our disposal such quality products. Attentively

Brass Bell from Lionworks
Excellent quality Bell that delivers a good ring tone that draws attention and doesn't sound aggressive or threatening at all.In fact the ring sounds quite pleasant. The more the bell ages, the patina looks better and is in keeping with my 19 year old Raleigh Pioneer Trail. Highly recommended.

Oh!!!!
This is loud! You know those little pingy bells you get that cost £3, this is *hugely* louder! Sounds nicer too, real character, just goes on and on, which seems a more polite way of telling people to get out of the way :P No more making a "piing" bell sound with my voice and wondering if people think I'm insane as they turn round mid "ping" and see I'm making the noise...Also looks great, solid mount and made in England!Comes in a nice little bag.

Great bell
Did not fit my handlebars, so it's my own fault for purchasing it with a small lbracket, it is a great product and the bell sound is super, I would definitely recommend it .
