Strong and easy to use machine.
This little thing is amazing. I bought it for my wife to work in our heavily forested property small property. We have a ton of fallen trees due to a hurricane that passed 8 years ago. We bought the house as is and the tree lines are a mess of new and fallen trees. We’ve recently started clearing out trees with this saw and I honestly thought I’d be using my stihl gas chainsaw for the bigger branches. So far we’ve been only using the dewalt. I got two batteries at Lowe’s and I can tell you we’ve been able to cut everything w only one battery. My gas saw still sitting in the batter box untouched. What a little monster. I Probly need to order a chain soon but the original one is still eating away just fine. Just make sure the chain is not loose and keep an eye on the oil consumption. Solid solid.

If you're an RV'er with a Solo Stove Ranger, this saw is for you!
When you camp at RV sites, you're pretty much obliged to buy firewood on-site or close by. (We've seen many warnings that it's illegal to bring firewood between states, and it's not worth the risk of bringing bad bugs across state lines, anyway.)We travel with a Solo Store Ranger, and bagged firewood is too long to fit in it (the wood keeps the spark arrestor from fitting correctly). After cutting wood in half with a hand saw for a couple of seasons, I splurged on this saw, thinking it would beat the hand-sawing that I'd been doing.Does it ever! It only has an 8-inch bar, but that's plenty for my purposes. I cut through a bag -- about 8 pieces -- in just a few minutes. (It took nearly as long to set up each piece safely and push the safety switch as it did to actually cut the wood.) FWIW, the Dewalt 4Ah battery that I'd bought separately didn't even register that it had been used.If the saw makes it through a few seasons of jostling around in the basement of our Class A, I'll consider it a bargain!

Great purchase that I semi regret.
I can tell you this works. My stepmother uses this A LOT. I get to hear hours of her cutting small branches knowing that since I have a ton of smaller batteries the torture will never end. We have a small Forrest behind our house and it rains all the time. The fact that I am semi delirious due to lack of sleep tells you it’s reliability

Great Saw ! Wish I bought it sooner !
I decided to try this saw as I have a lot of limbs to cut in a large wooded area and didn't want to carry a gas chainsaw around. I put a 3amh battery on it and was amazed how long it lasted and how many cuts I could make with it before the battery would finally lost charge. Because of this little saws success, I am now planning on buying a larger Dewalt chainsaw for even larger limbs and small trees.

super easy to use but don't expect the power of a gas saw
I use this on a 4 wheeler for trimming trails. No need for gas, just bring extra batteries. The safety cover on the end of the blade is annoying and I'm removing it to cut thicker branches. When using the saw, you just need to have patience and let the chain cut. If you push too hard, the saw will cut off and wait for the battery to cool and the voltage to come back up

Works great …
This easy to use and does the job… I have a few other different chainsaws that fit a size requirement. This is great for pruning and small jobs and for what it does, it’s fairly light. It all depends on the size of battery you put into it. I use four amp power batteries, which work well.

Great Saw
This little saw is amazing. It does way more than I intended it for. I use a 4ah battery with it. The battery lasts about 6 hours of steady use. I use it when I’m on the ladder it’s light wait easy to use one handed it’s great saw.

Great backyard tool !
I use this little gem all the time ! I used to use loppers to trim around the yard and still do for real small stuff. Anything bigger then 1/2” gets the Dewalt light weight , mini chain saw !
