It is NOT multipurpose. You cannot use the lid as a punchbowl or the underside of the base for appetizers. I think the base and tray are GLUED together and water ran out when drying. A bead of caulk to protect the glue will fix this. Then there's all the air bubbles in the lid! I thought about contacting the seller for a replacement, but didn't. I'm in a situation where it may have been swapped out so a greedy family member could have the nice one. So, good luck

The leg support is glued to the “plate”. The lid is made very cheaply too: it has air bubbles in it and the edge on it is not made evenly, has pointy/sharp spots. The whole thing can’t stand in a flat granit counter without wobbling, just like an unleveled chair.I’m unset as it was gonna be for our Christmas cake and I can’t use it. The design looks nice when you don’t look too close.

I ordered two of these cake plates. One for myself and one for a gift. I opened mine and am very happy with it. The other plate I shipped later as a birthday gift. When it was opened and examined there is a manufacturing defect - a chip off the plate has been glazed onto the plate surface. So, there is a chip in the edge of the plate and that chip has been glazed onto the plate permanently. I tried to return it - but - I guess too much time passed from when I purchased it until I gave it as the gift. :-(

I was worried about breakage but it was packaged very well. It was much larger than I had anticipated and will fit most cakes.

Glass looks greenish, not a air bubble in it but not as clear as I expected or in the picture, base arrived well wrapped and in perfect shape. Returned it.

Very pretty! Pretty good quality for the price. The lid is a little to thin and sometimes Im worried when Im washing it if it will shatter.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Delicate and beautiful.. used for my wedding cake stand.. just what I was looking for!
