Mostly satisfied, but there are a few quirks
I want to start off by saying, yes, I am an American who has imported an American TV show from the UK. We do not have a "complete series collection" for this show over here, so I'm thrilled to finally own something like this. Criminal Minds is an excellent crime drama that doesn't shy away from having twisted, demented criminals/killers in the spotlight, which makes each episode thrilling to watch. The characters are also charming, like Dr. Spencer Reed and Penelope Garcia, and there's just enough character drama spliced in between the cases to make us actually care about the detectives. I especially like how, on the plane ride back home, they often reflect on the case they solved and the impact it made on them. With this release, you get all of seasons 1-12 on 66 region 2 DVDs, with some bonus content also included. There's a lot of value here for about the $90 USD I payed, so I'm certainly pleased with my purchase regarding the content. There are a few issues I have regarding the packaging, but let's go over the positives for this product first. The Good:1) Excellent value!2) There's bonus content evenly spread throughout, so the discs aren't just barebones DVDs.3) The set is attractive, and has a coherent design; all of the disc cases match each other, and the cases make a design on the spines when they're lined up in a row.4) Plenty of great photos on each season pack that show off the cast.5) If you push all of the disc cases close together, there's easily room to slide in a DVD set of Season 13 when that comes out. I'll probably just get the American one though. The Bad:1) DVDs: I'm pretty sure a lot of these seasons were filmed in HD, so it baffles me as to why there are no Blu-ray releases for this show yet, even in the States. There is obviously a loss in quality from HD to SD. However, I'm sure it will look fine when it's upscaled by my region free player.2) The packaging: This is the biggest issue I have with the set. I appreciate having them all look uniform in design, but these cases are cardboard slips, not plastic, and the discs have no spindle, they just slide into a cardboard pocket. When I recieved my set, most of the discs were loose inside the case and sliding around, some with visible scratches on them already. I haven't even gotten to play a single one yet, and they're already damaged!3) Region locked. The fact that I had to import a set like this at all is practically a crime (heh). I don't know what it is about the US, but we just don't seem to get nice collections like this one. Thankfully, a region free player solves this issue nicely.4) PAL video: the show was originally filmed for the NTSC format at 24 FPS. This being a PAL formatted DVD set, it runs at 25 FPS. I don't notice the video being one frame faster, but I do definitely hear a difference. All of the audio is slightly pitched up in tone from the original. This is hardly noticeable while watching the actual episode, but the theme song definitely is affected. Being slightly faster and higher pitched than the original, it doesn't have quite the same sound that I'm used to. It would've been preferable to have the DVDs run at the correct 24 FPS speed that the show was created in. I have gotten past this issue before with other foreign DVDs, so it will just take a little bit of time for this show as well.5) No "Play All" feature on the discs; you get taken back to the disc menu after each episode. So while I did have a few small issues with this set, I can live with them. Criminal Minds is one of my favorite television shows, and even through character changes, has remained over of the most thrilling and entertaining detective shows out there. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this to newcomers of the show, but if you like the show, picking this up is a no-brainer. Hopefully there will be a complete collection on Blu-ray in the future, but until then, this will tide me over just fine.

Super box
Great to have all seasons in one go. It is addicted you start with one and you keep on watching. Discs are per season in a carton. and then in a box. It is a good construction to have it stored

Great series, but...
The TV series itself is apparently great. I bought this as a gift and the recipient was happy. What neither of us were happy about though is the packaging. Each series is made from a multifold cardboard envelope, of sorts. With slots for the discs. This an awful system. Almost all the discs were out of their slots upon arrival. Why manufacturers are using these stupid cardboard cases is beyond me. They're not fit for purpose at all. Especially when the boxset cost over a hundred pounds.

Great TV Series
Good viewing. Some reviews mention the packaging, whilst this consists of cardboard sleeves for each season and a box for them all, it is adequate.
