It provided a remarkably cost-effective solution, and I would highly recommend it to anyone facing similar issues.
Review: Just Buy It!!!! - This stuff is AWESOME! This product saved me from incurring 9K+ plumbing bill I was quoted. My washer drain floor pipe had what seemed to be a complete blockage. It's on a concrete slab so roots infiltrated that pipe. I knew it wasn't the main line because everything else in the house was working properly. Also the time that it took to overflow showed the clog was not too far away. The plumber used an auger on the floor pipe and hit roots about 25 feet in. One of his colleagues was going to use imaging to see exactly where the clog began. However, since the p trap was very weirdly placed below the subfloor their plan was to drill.... Right through my flooring, subfloor, and the concrete slab in my laundry area. I told them to let me sleep on it and was placing this order before they pulled off. I only used about half of the bottle, about a fourth of the bottle one night and another fourth 2 days later. On the 2nd application I washed clothes to flush the product down and to my surprise, the clog was completely gone. No issues at all. Under $20 vs. over $9200! I will be sure to always have this on hand.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this just copper sulfate which can be bought pure for much less?**
A: I think Robert has a good idea there. But, I checked on ebay and the Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate 99% was $10/pound, the same price as this product (now $20 for 2 pounds). So it works out the same cost wise.

**Q: compare to Roebic FRK-6 Foaming Root Killer, Which one is better? Thanks**
A: I really don't know the answer. I've used the other Roebic root killer because we have a long standing problem with roots from a large tree fouling up our plumbing and causing back-ups in the sewage line to the street. I've used it for years and didn't even know about the FRK-6. My off-handed guess would be that the FRK-6 would be great to blast through a tangle of roots with and the K-77 I use is more of a preventive measure. I started using that after I'd spent $$$ having a "roto-rooter" guy ream out the sewer line for the umteenth time. I probably wouldn't hesitate to use the FRK-6 if I had another blockage in my line. I use the K-77 every six months and haven't had to resort to calling a plumber for several years since I started using it.

**Q: Has anyone had experience using this product on a slow moving drain WITHOUT having their drain augered?**
A: I use that stuff every 3 months 1/3 of a bottle, now I augered my drain because mine had really backed up but I won't stop using this stuff, I haven't had to do anything else with the drain so I imagine it is killing all the roots from growing any further. It's definitely worth a try, I've got a friend within the family that does plumbing and he told me that is about the best on the market!

**Q: Is this safe to use in a Septic System without harming the septic mound which is about 200 feet from house?**
A: I have used it twice in the past year and to my knowledge there has been no damage to my septic system. The product worked very well.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ K-77 Works perfectly A+, the first time. However.....>>>>
*by P***R on April 20, 2014*

Finally found that I had roots in my sewer line. Since buying our home in 2010 our master bath and toilet would always drain slowly however the last 6 months I've hired plumber that cleared the blockage but didn't mention what cause was. Usually there's evidence left on the cutting tip. A couple months later another backup so I went to Lowes and purchased a hand or drill drive auger plus a couple of wax rings for reattaching the commode. Felt an obstruction about 10 ft in then after a minute with the auger I could hear it flow. When we pulled out the auger there were very fine roots at the spiral tip, grape vine roots to be exact. I didn't realize they could travel 7 ft under my slab foundation but they did. Now that the line is cleared I need something to stop the growth. Plan B: Buy root killer Bought this stuff because of all the positive feedback. Only used half the bottle - poured it onto a paper plate to avoid water splashing into the bottle and ruining the remaining product. Also, poured it in the same time I flushed. Waited 12 hours and after the first flush noticed how quickly water was draining, including the bath tub, as if the water was being sucked out. Into week 4 and no evidence or problems like before, when water would start draining slower, after only 2 weeks. ****UPDATE JULY 10, 2014**** Month 3, water backing up in tub, toilet making gurgling noises, ordering another bottle then once the line is clear and dry I'm having the line camera inspected. Will report back later... ****UPDATE JULY 19, 2014**** Minus one star.... Poured in the entire second bottle, waited overnight and no change, as in water backing up in the tub while showering, toilet gurgling. Will try another product this week. I'll try the "foaming" one. Will update later. ***Final Update November 2014 - No roots however*** I did have another clog but it was from natural causes. After I ran the auger to clear the line I called a plumber to perform a camera inspection. Turns out all we have is a tight turn after the "sanitary tee" which then heads towards the laundry room then out towards the main. Someone's been flushing way too much TP plus having "highly efficient - 1.6 gal toilets" in a house built in the 50's does not help with the flow. We almost have to treat the system as if we had septic - which is what the house was originally designed for. Bottom line here would be if you have a reoccurring problem have a camera inspection performed. It tells you everything, including what steps are needed to either prevent or fix the problem permanently. K-77 did remove and has prevented root growth but it is not a permanent solution.
