Such a lovely, atmospheric but also funny little story!
"I'll get you a box to put your therapist in."Such a lovely, atmospheric but also funny little story! It's about loneliness, and the feeling of pointlessness, and about the completely absurd decisions of powers that be (the cafe, the therapist) - but told in a heartwarming tone with a lot of quirky humour in it. I laughed so hard at the therapist plot line! The art style shows the coldness and loneliness of existence, but also has an enchanting quality to it. The ending is a nice little surprise.Definitely worth reading and I will be going back to it for its mood and the art.

Loved this.
Beautifully drawn, wonderfully atmospheric and with laugh out loud moments. Would make a great short film. You can almost hear the lunar silence…

Simple.
It’s such a simple book, but it does a lot, each frame is packed with character.

Tom Gauld is great
Tom Gauld is a genious. All reviews of this comic are true, he is an artist. The only thing is that I don't like hard covers, but this is the only option, there's nothing we can do about the way it's published. I wish it was in a larger format, with worse paper quality and soft cover. But hey, this is the product and the content is what I was looking for. So nihilist and cute at the same time.

Well written and beautifully illustrated
A simple tale of the last people to be left on a moon settlement and the experience this brings. Beautifully illustrated and presented in in a nice quality hardback cover. The story is light enough for most ages to follow and should take an experience reader no more than 20 mins to complete, but one that I am sure I will be revisiting many times.

An absolute joy
I got this out the local library, read it in one sitting and immediately ordered 2 copies from Amazon (1 for a friend). An amusing, melancholy, happysad tale that I reach for regularly. I’d love an animated version one day.

Four Stars
Somewhat slight but it has its own very clear visual identity.
