These are pretty good stakes. Especially at the price. Excellent value.
These are not bad stakes. Especially at the price. I paid $15 for 25 stakes and that's about 58 cents apiece. I'm not gonna cry if I bend a few.But the real reason I was looking for new tent stakes was weight. I have a 3 person, a 2 person, and a 1 person tent. They require 12, 12, and 10 stakes respectively to completely stake out all the tent corners and guy out points. I already owned a set of heavy duty stakes I bought for each tent but those weigh 1.2 oz apiece. These weigh .53 oz apiece. Multiply that 0.67 oz difference by 12 and I can drop the weight of my tent by 8 oz or a 1/2 lb. That's not insignificant.Coincidentally, these are about the same length (1/4" shorter) and the same diameter as the stakes that came with all three of my Marmot tents. Those stakes weigh just slightly more at .60 oz apiece and look exactly like the "NoBendium" stakes sold under the Kelty brand but Marmot doesn't name their stakes or sell them separately. And Marmot, like most manufacturers ships their tents with about half the stakes you need to fully stake out their tents. That keeps their published weights down and reduces their costs. Hence the reason I bought these. Kelty specifies the nobendium stakes as 7001 aluminum whereas these are specified as 7075 aluminum but, both alloys are among the strongest types of aluminum. My other stakes are 9 inches long, and probably 3 times thicker than these. Hence the reason they weigh more than twice as much. But that's also the reason I can drive them into rocky New England soil and the reason they have really good holding power in a storm. These are shorter and thinner like I said. I have no delusions about them being able to take the same beating or holding as well as a thicker, longer stake that weighs twice as much. However, I wanted an option for those times when I want to go light and I don't foresee needing tremendous holding power. These should serve the purpose just fine as long as I don't abuse them. And if I bend a few, I'm not gonna cry over 58 cents. For a relatively low price, I can supplement all three of my tent's OEM supplied stakes with the additional stakes needed to fully stake them out and still have 9 spares left over in case I destroy some. That seems like a good value to me.Now I have two options I can choose from depending on whether pack weight or strength and holding power is the primary concern on the trip I'm taking.

Love the red. Super lightweight, very solid, resist bending!
Red tent stakes are awesome when it's half-dark outside and you drop one in thick foliage. So that's a huge plus. I tell my scouts to treat stakes like they're gold, and having red ones will definitely help with stake retention. On top of that these stakes are very lightweight and very sturdy. I've begun replacing most of my regular stakes with them. Definitely worth buying in bulk for the discount.UPDATE: used these stakes during a 12-day Philmont trek. They held tight and resisted bending in all sorts of soil conditions, including several times when I had to hammer them into some really hard ground. These are now my stakes of choice.

Great stake at a good price. Strong and good for our Scouting tents!
These stakes are great! I bought them to replace the stakes that mysteriously disappear each Boy Scout camping trip....the slow depletion to no stakes problem. Received them and off on a Scout trip they went. These stakes are great! Super solid, super strong, and with a color that shows up in the grass and dirt. So far none have bent, but I'm sure they will succumb to the foot push bend other stakes suffer, but we were so impressed we order another 24 to put in the Scout trailer.

Excellant quality stakes
These tent stakes are incredibly strong and very light. Going to change out all the stakes from my tents to these. If you are looking for tent stakes or want to change out some of your older stake, these are a best buy. Cheers
