USB Type C Card Reader，Bastch USB C Card Reader Aluminum Superspeed USB 3.0 2-In-1 Card Reader for SD Card/Micro SD Card/TF Card for 2016 MacBook Pro and more USB C Devices

Purchased a lovely iPad Pro. Needed to buy another damn dongle so I could download my photos to the Pro as this is now USB-C and not a lightning socket like on my last iPad. Was not sure it was going to work as I know Apple have a way of blocking some 3rd party suppliers/USB-C products. Apple version in Apple Store-£££!This one has 2 sockets for SD and microSD cards and feels higher quality than the Apple version for almost 1/4 the price . The SD card "clicks" in nicely and you "push/click" again to eject the SD card from the reader when you are done. All the photos download quickly. Just hope it lasts and that Apple do not somehow block use of this in the future after a software update!

I was about to buy the Apple USB-C SD Card reader until I saw the price at £39.99. I certainly scoffed at this because I own the Lightning version of the SD Card reader from Apple and always thought it was a lot of money for what it is.So, having that in mind i went looking to find something cheaper and I came across this item. I was a little sceptical at first because of the price but thought I would give it a go as I did ask the dealer if this would work with my 2018 iPad Pro and they said it should.First off, the build is surprisingly sturdy and looks and feels solid and very durable and when attaching to my iPad the connection felt solid and not like the loose USB-C connections I have used on other devices.Now to its functionality, I found the micro SD slot works best for me as when I used the standard SD Card slot I could not get my images created by my Mavic Pro to appear in the IOS Photos app. However, I can see photos and videos created by my Canon camera when using the standard SD card slot and they import as expected.I was thinking that because this was a rather cheap product it would not have the speed I am used to with my Lightning cable SD Card reader from Apple. I was amazed that when using the micro SD Card slot the import was very fast, a lot faster than I was expecting.If you are lookin for a cheap but what I consider a very reliable product I would recommend you give this one a go, if it doesn’t work out you can always return it.Just for clarity I am using this on my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 inch using SANDISK 64GB EVO PLUS SD card and a LEXAR 16GB 633x card.

Very well made and works as expected on my Chromebook. Looks the part and matches lovely metal finish of the Chromebook as well ... so that's nice ! File transfer seems very fast . Highly recommended.<Update> I’ve been using this adapter a while now and have a couple of comments First fairly trivial but the connecting lead seems to be discolouring and rather bizarrely turning from white to blue!! The other more serious observation is an issue I had at the weekend with transferring files from SD card to my Chrome book. Twice the files got corrupted and appeared to copy but when I tried to open them on the Chrome Book they couldn’t be read. Most alarmingly ….. and I had to test this several times as I didn’t believe it at first… the ORIGINAL files on the SD card were also corrupted – so I lost images. I suspected the reader was faulty , a faulty port on my Chrome Book and a Faulty SD cards. But eventually after much trial and error, I found that the files were corrupted if you plug the SD card into the reader slot first and then plug the reader into the usb Type c port. Plug the card reader in FIRST and then stick the card in the slot SECOND and all is well. This may be unique to my set up but something to be wary off.

Simple handy piece of kit. 1x slot for micro SDcard and 1x slot for standard SD card.This particular item that I have seems to have issues reading my micro SDcard when inserted into it. Though when I place the micro SDcard into a Standard SDcard adapter and then insert the micro SDcard adapter into the reader, all works well.So this is what I do now.Intially I presumed it maybe the micro SDcard at fault but have had no issues reading it via other devices. So this leads me to believe something funky is perhaps at fault with the Bastch'ard' USB-C card reader. At £10 it will suffice none the less.....but if I should require another I would know not to order this particular reader again. It is handy but in my case has basically only half it's functionality available to me.The choice is yours. Yours may work flawlessly...??

Brought this for my iPad Pro 11” (2018). Thought I’d give this a go considering it’s half the cost of the genuine Apple accessory, it’s brilliant! It works absolutely fine and can take a standard SD card and a Micro SD card. The unit is also lightweight which may not be a consideration for your average consumer but I carry this around along with my camera equipment so every gram counts!

This is a quality piece of kit which I use on a daily basis for transferring pics to an iPad Pro. The Sd card attaches and detaches from the reader with a satisfying click and the USB plug connects firmly to the iPad. Data transfer is quick.After three months of regular use, it’s still as new so I’m really glad I bought it.Customer service for such a small item has been excellent, in fact I’ve just had an email from their customer care asking if the card reader is performing to my expectations.

Very happy with this card reader. It has a quality feel, with a sprung, latching, click on inserting an SD card. Transfers are nice and fast.I highly recommend this card reader.(I'm using to replace the dreadful SD card reader built in to my new Lenovo P series workstation!)

Worked well for four months then kaput .Keeps saying photos are uploaded only they aren’t 🙁. Unable to contact seller as I expected this to at least last a year.second one of these so an expensive project. Works so well for a short while then refuses to read card ?seller uncontactable
