UPDATE ******** Unfortunately mine broke, for some reason it just stopped charging the phone. I contacted the seller who after a few customer service emails where they tried to help me we gave up. A nice surprise they sent me a replacement - thank you.Simple effective case device to securely fit the iPhone 5 series to add switchable battery power make the phone battery last for ages so your phone can last a day or more. At last I can use my phone all day and not be worried about it dyingPlug the empty case into a USB and the lights along the black strip start to light up. the more lit lights means it has more power in the battery and the longer you leave it the more it charges itself.Once fully charged the top of the unit slides off, your phone slides in and you lock it in place by sliding the top back on.The external battery can be on or off whilst using the iPhone and neither affects the performance or running of the phone - so you could just leave it on as a new case. Once you run low on power there is an On/Off button on the case and turning it on immediately starts charging the iPhone. As the power reduces in the battery so do the lights on the front of it. Once the unit is turned on the lights do go to sleep and pressing the on button again lights them up again for 30 seconds or so.If both phone and case are low on power when you finally get to a mains socket leave the iPhone in the battery case, plug the battery case in and both get charged. Its so easy, such a good idea.I get about 2 charges of the phone from this battery and the photos show a variety of scenarios described aboveMy only reservation is the blue of the unit, not my favourite colour but that’s the only fault I found and I can live with that.

I selected Red and it came salmon pink , after seeing this I clicked back in the product to see if I had been mistaken. NO I wasn't it's says Red not happy at all about this as o bought for my son

Great piece of kit and value for money, protects the phone and also you can charge another phone from the usb port on the side

This was the 2nd case I had ordered as the first one disappeared along with my money. After finally receiving the case it only worked for 6 weeks and then refused to charge the phone any more. I am unable to contact the seller and arrange a refund as the return window has closed. Waste of money.

I only purchased this on February and now it’s April and it does not charge at all, my phone goes on and off constant, unfortunately there is no way of contacting the seller about this faulty good, or how to return it for a refund or anything so don’t waste ur money

Wasn’t too bothered by the fact that this case was chunky and my my phone quite heavy and bulky, however after spending £15 I would expect it to last longer than 2 weeks, I was extremely disappointed and due to circumstances at the time I was unable to return the case and get a refund :(

Great charger for when you're on long journeys and your phone dies, easy to use and fits great. Only problem is you are unable to use earphone while the case is on your phone
