Up a family tree without a paddle
This product has a great deal of potential, but never got the chance to use it. Though I typed in the code several times, it refused to activate the software. It looks like I'm going to be using an old version for a long time.

Program will not install on Windows 10
I have tried 4 times to install this program on my Windows 10 computer and it hangs and will not install. I tried uninstalling what files that were placed on my computer to no avail. I am going to have to use a restore point to hopefully restore my computer to where it was before this sorry program caused me such problems. I would not recommend this program to anyone. I have been using computers for over 30 years and this program just will not work.I will be returning it to Amazon for a refund.Hugh Plylar

Not very good. Not as good as the old Family Tree Maker. Little hard to use

not as easy as the old Familytree Maker. I have not been able to import the familytree maker files on to it. Look somewhere else.

This is NOT Ancestry.com compatible
I bought this product with the hopes of interfacing with online Ancestry.com family files. It is not that tool. In fact it corrupted some of my files and randomly pulled in data from other people’s files that was wrong. The worst part is that once it has pulled this bad data in, you cannot purge it.

Great Software
I love this program and purchased it to upgrade an old version I had on an old computer I was disposing. I loaded it on my new laptop and imported my data from the old version. It worked really well!

Poor substitute for FTM.
This is not nearly as nice as Family Tree Maker; visually and performance wise. Very disappointed. Now I find that a new Family Tree Maker 2017 is available. Sorry I wasted my money on this.Furthermore the description for this item states that "Family Tree Maker is retired; don't lose your data". THIS IS FALSE as a new upgrade to FTM is available that has all of the original features pule additional ones.
