This is much sturdier than the standard 20 gauge often used in metal jewelry. The necklace cord is available in leather, or you can choose from a variety of high quality chain options (your choice at checkout). Quality is our number one priority at PickityPick! The color shown in the picture is the knotted leather. This guitar pick will be stamped to say "I will make music and sing" and then "Psalm 57:7" along the two bottom edges. We use a much different process than traditional engraving, which only carves a light groove into the metal. Our guitar picks are all uniquely stamped by hand with a hammer and steel stamp, which is a more forceful technique resulting in a much longer-lasting finish. Because our products are not made via machines, it should be expected that reasonable variations will occur; these only contribute to the uniqueness and quality of each hand-finished piece.
