However, it is certainly not the only thing you need to do to recover from and mitigate eye strain effect and dim the effect of blue light on your circadian rhythm. Read the rest of the review if you'd like to know how I recovered from ice strain while still working and how use it to mitigate my circadian rhythm. It tooks some trials and tribulations... So I use these glasses for a few things 1. recovering from eye strain and 2 not affecting my circadian rhythm before I go to bed. And a little backstory: I was testing hyper focus on tasks for a very long time without looking a away from my screen, and it ended up with me having pretty bad eye strain on and off for weeks (it did not help with my terrible recovery techniques which eventually got better). My symptoms included my eyes going everywhere are not being able to focus on one thing for a long amount of time, a little bit of copnstant nausea, I get neck aches and shoulder aches and all of this is resorting for my eyes and head just feeling awful, and too i would experience minor dissassociation and detachement. There was a feeling like my eyes were just like really hot and wanting to generate more tears. The way I found to mitigate these symptoms and actually start recovering from eye strain while continuing to work is by buying these glasses and by implementing a couple of techniques I found online along with walks after every single meal and getting exposure to morning sun. The techniques were the pomodro rhythm which is every about 20 minutes look at something about 30 feet away and I would combine this with doing comfortable eye rotations. What do the glasses do for eye strain? It makes the burning sensation mitigate and pretty much go away which is amazing. Does it solve eye strain? Absolutely not I believe my behavior on the outside the walks and the techniques that I implemented were 10 times more effective and the core of recovery, but nonetheless a very useful tool for comfort So if you combine having more exposure to sun in the morning walking after every meal and implementing those techniques and by buying these glasses I believe you have a very high chance of recovering efficiently while you're still working. And for the circadian rhythm I do aim to have two hours of no Screen Time and a physical book before bed sometimes it's one hour, and my sleep is tremendous. If you're interested in tracking your sleep deeply I recommend getting oura ring the thing is fantastic.

**Q: What if you already wear glasses?**
A: My wife has the same issue so we went to the eye doctor to see about contact lenses, Gunnar glasses work really well with contacts or have Gunnar glasses made with your RX prescription.  Either option runs about the same cost so it is really personal preference or prescription availability.

**Q: Do these glasses have the natural lenses with no magnification?**
A: The official Gunnar account answered a different question and said the Riot Onyx glasses only come with +0.2 magnification. I have these, and the magnification isn't noticeable at all. I like to have it, though, because it makes sense that it would be easier on my eyes when I look at objects near my face--like a computer screen. If you want natural lenses with no magnification, Gunnar says to look at the Cruz model.

**Q: Are these similar to anti glare driving glasses?**
A: Hi there,

When it comes to our lens tints, they are specifically designed to combat blue light while viewing digital screens. While our lenses can be effective in reducing the harshness of lights you experience while driving and reducing the amount of glare, they are not designed for driving. Most of our non-prescription glasses come with our GUNNAR Focus, which is a +0.2 diopter on the lens, designed for use viewing a monitor at close distance. While it's a small amount of magnification, it may affect your vision while driving. 

For an option without the magnification, I would recommend looking into the following four frame styles that offer Natural lens: Vertex, Intercept, MOBA Razer, Cruz, and Rush. I hope this helps!

**Q: Are these frames black? I ordered a previous Onyx color (different style) and they were more grey**
