The indentations along the blade reduce friction to produce clean cuts and minimize sticking. Manufactured by the renowned Felix Zepter company in Solingen, Germany, the blades are made of Japanese VG10 66-layer Damascus steel and are ice hardened, making the structure of the steel finer and more compact.
