Great series

Good value for money

DVD arrived quickly and safely. Any quibbles with the Australian rubrick at the start of the DVD is outweighed by the fact that the episodes are so worth watching. Good quality sound and picture. I have a few of the SVU seasons on DVD now, and the only problem is that some of the DVDs don't have episode guides or identifiers on the Discs, so you have to watch each disc to find the episode you want. Of course, you can write your own episode guide to over come this problem. Over all - no complaints.

I bought this after being let down by amazon when they they couldn't get the dvd I purchased months earlier. I've been watching SVU for years but missed out on earlier seasons so I wanted to catch up. So far only watched half the season but still think it's one of the best plenty of famous cameos including the odd sports star, I won't spoil it, and more than enough variety in the cases to keep me intrigued.

SVU season five has got to be my favourite season by far!I got it on it's release date and it took me only one week to watch!This season, we experience a few major changes to the show, the first being the depature of ADA Alexandra Cabot (who is suberbly written out in ep.4 "Loss", which is one of my favourite ever episodes!), and the introduction of ADA Casey Novak (Diane Neal), who is introduced in ep.5, and has proved to be as good, if not better, an ADA than her preceder.This season is 10/10, no episode isn't worth watching and this is a must buy to all fans!P.S. Incase some people are wondering, there are no subtitles (but all scenes are quite clear and easy to understand. Don't worry!)

Good solid drama - but needs sub titles.... Some eprisodess the sound is out of synch with the picture

I''ve become addicted to Law & Order SVU, which I never have to any other series. The stories are gritty - sometimes too gritty - but the characterizations are superb and always well acted.This series introduces Diane Neal as ADA Cssy Novak, replacing Stephanie March's ADA Alexandra Cabot (though Cabot returns in later series) and it is interesting to compare their performances.
