Hestra Waterproof Ski Gloves: Mens and Womens Pro Model Leather Winter 3-Finger Mitten

This is just an initial review, I haven't had the chance to test these in the snow or cold (it's currently still 60 degrees on 12/25/2015 in New Jersey), but when I do I will update the review. The gloves are great quality and construction, very impressed. When choosing a size however I would be careful, I am normally a medium size (considered an 8 for these gloves), to be safe I went a size up and got a 9 with these and I'm glad I did. They fit snug, maybe just enough room for a very thin liner if you wanted to wear one. I'm a bit apprehensive that when my hands get wet or sweaty they might stick and pull the gloves interior inside out, part of me wishes I got a size 10 for this reason but only testing in the snow will confirm this. For just the 20 or so seconds I had these gloves on I could feel the warmth and my hands wanting to start sweating, so a liner may not be even necessary with these. The gloves also came with some leather oil which was a nice touch to help preserve it. I do like that these have a wrist loop so you don't have to worry about losing a glove if you take it off for a second. Only other concern which also needs to be tested in the snow, is the cuffs ability to keep snow out, the wrist strap is nice but I don't really see it keeping anything out. I'll update once we get some snow on the east coast or when I go out west at the end of February.

By far the best ski gloves I've ever owned. They're definitely worth the splurge.

great cold cold days glove. still have some dexterity with warm fingers. used in 10 degree days and sweated in gloves. I used the guide glove and it was cooler but still warm

Form and Function

Best gloves I have ever owned. I will never buy another brand again.

I’ve used it / abused it for years, skiing every weekend in all kinds of conditions, carried sharpened skis, banged it against trees in the glades, etc. Still keeping me warm - even in subzero temps. Better than any other glove I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot of them. One of the wrist straps started to fray after 8 years, but the leather glove is still going strong!

Bought for my son and he says they are great especially in minus 40. Yes we get that kind of weather sometimes minus 50. It's sick lol. Anyway kept his fingers warm.
