Works well, but with a few niggles
I left it about a month before writing this review, because (like most people) I'm a bit cautious when buying items which should really cost more! Overall I'm happy. The instructions are pretty hard to fathom, but after much trial and error I've got it recording with very few issues. You'll need to buy an SD card for this, so add that to the overall price when considering the purchase.Installation is easy. I bought some plastic hooks to feed the wire around my windscreen then under the dash. The wires look terrible at first, but I don't even notice them any more. The field of view is excellent, and the suction cup base hasn't come loose since I bought it around a month ago.The camera is set to auto record over the oldest footage, once it uses up all the available memory. I just unplug it every 2 weeks or so, plug it into my PC, and if anything of interest has happened in on my travels I find the file (date stamped) and delete the rest. On that note, the camera is advertised as 1080p, but the manual pretty much tells you to turn it down to 720 to save memory! That being said, it can record in 1080 if you really need to (you don't) and 720p resolution is just fine for the camera's purposes. Items like faces and reg plates are easily recognizable upon playback. The manual is not great, and although it tells you about the other tricks the camera can do, I couldn't fathom how to get them to work! One example being the mobile app which once downloaded refuses to connect to my phone... so I've given up on that bit.In conclusion, the camera is really good value for its price, and does the job of recording my travels and giving me piece of mind if I'm ever involved in an accident.

The 1080p isn't as perfect as the nextbase camera I have for the front
The 1080p isn't as perfect as the nextbase camera I have for the front, but still reads number plates. Small compact camera and ability to have WiFi...recommended
