**Q: what size are the scissors?**
A: Don't know the dimensions but they are small but not tiny. They work well.

**Q: What kind of thread is this cotton or polyester?**
A: I believe it is cotton thread… although nothing came with the kit to verify.  🌞

**Q: Can I fit the spools of thread in a sewing machine? What about a portable sewing machine, the new home janome one?**
A: They will fit but not in a machine it might be to aggressive.  I only used for little light sewing like emergencies.  Not big enough for machines

A: yes

I loved this sewing kit because it comes with everything: lots of thread in different colors, needles, scissors, and useful accessories. The case is sturdy and keeps everything well organized. Excellent quality for the price!
