Q: Why 12 poles, when picture shows 11?

The picture shows 10' poles as does the copy and instructions. There are no 12' or 11' poles.

Q: what type and size length and width poles can be used to attach the net...metal, aluminum or PVC pipe. Any suggestions on what poles would work best?

I would not recommend PVC due to the weight of the net and baffle. 1 in. x 10 ft. Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) Conduit is recommended. You will need 10 pieces. You will find it in the electrical section of your local home improvement center. (Lowes-SKU #72715 Home Depot-SKU #580015)
