Hard Maple

Beautiful and very hard. Perfect for my project. Very straight grained.

Beautiful pieces of wood! Nice clean, clear maple. Extremely well finished! Didn't even really need to sand them. No dings or any kind of marks. Flat, straight. Not warped. Ready to go as is. Size is exactly as listed. Really impressed! Would definitely buy again. I don't always leave reviews. When I find something that's really great and deserving of 5 stars, I make sure I do. This is one of those items.

This maple wood is true to its dimensions, has good grain, and is flat to within 1/16” over the length of 18”, which for unfinished wood is very good. I used it for laser cutting to make Christmas gifts (see attached picture) and applied a light clear coating to bring out the grain and seal the wood. I’ve also bought the walnut wood from Hardwood Edge before and was thoroughly pleased.

Great product for little hobby jobs. Boards are straight and true. Used mine as dividers in drawers of a jewelry box.

High quality wood planks. But, be careful to store the unused planks after opening the plastic sealed bag. I’m in Southern California yet the boards warped noticeably in less than 24 hours.

The wood is excellent and it was very well packaged. I’ll be buying from these guys again.

I am refinishing a Les Paul electric guitar. I’m a novice at that so I need to learn how to use finishes and dyes properly. Obviously, I don’t want to be experimenting on my Les Paul so I purchased this because the Les Paul had a maple front. I will learn how to use the finishing products using this purchase before I apply them to the guitar. The only reason I didn’t give everything 5 stars is simply because the price is hard to swallow. I don’t mean it’s expensive compared to similar products offered by others. It’s just VERY expensive to me considering how little lumber there really is here. But I shopped carefully and selected this because it was the best price/quantity I could find. As far as the quality of the maple planks are concerned, they are as close to perfect as I’ve ever seen. The quality even exceeds that of my guitar which is saying a lot. I sure hope I can learn how to do a cherry sunburst finish with these before typing it on my guitar. The guitar body is mahogany so I purchased some of that for the same reason. That is why the photo shows both the maple and the mahogany.

Good quality, plain sawn, hard maple. Consistent thickness and smooth surfaces..
