I also took a look at The Technopriests and I liked the content very much
I've been into graphic novels since relatively recently ( 3-4 years), however, I always make a very detailed research about the graphic novels that I buy. I learned about Jodorawsky and The Metabarons from CBG19's youtube channel, where he input all these ideas he had for his Dune movie into The Incal and The Metabarons. I also took a look at The Technopriests and I liked the content very much. So for me the questions was where to start from. Honestly, the few first pages, I'd say that The Technoprieests interested me more. However, I had some knowledge about what type of events are happening soon after in The Metabarons and against my better judgement, I went for Metabarons. Now, I can say, that this was absolutely the right decision. The Metabarons is a great entry point to the so called Jodoverse. It is by far, the best Graphic Novel I've read (maybe best book also? have to think about that) and I'll re-read it at least 2 or 3 times. Honestly, Jodorawsky has done such a great job, that on your first read-through you can't digest all the information. Every scene, every page, has so much content in it, that you will have to choose - either grab the text so you learn the story fast ( what I did) or go very carefully over each page to digest it completely. Either way, this is a very mature read and will make Game of Thrones look like a children's book. I'd recommend full-heart to any Graphic Novels fan, who is looking for a bit more serious reading.

Jodorowsky's Graphic Novel Masterpiece - The Legacy of Dune
Quite simply a masterpiece. As enjoyably wild of a ride as The Incal was, this saga has a much broader scope and to me is a more detailed and engaging story. I also find the art by Gimenez is of the same order, richly detailed technologies and surfaces all coloured in a gorgeously realistic way. It's a different style to Mobius, as it is a little more precise, but it is every bit as captivating. This is a book and a universe to get lost in; the scope, the sex, the horror, the humour, the tragedy...it's all there. Fans of the documentary on Jodorowsky's Dune will be especially transfixed by this, as it contains a lot of the ideas he originally developed for that, possibly even more so than ended up in Incal.

Very good book and read, a must have
This is a big heavy tome. Hard to read in one go as the stories then become much of a sameness, so pace the reading of it. I had the first edition but got rid of it for that same reason, but bought it back again (third printing) as I quite like it and the illustrations are very good and worth having the book for. A bit heavy so it needs handling with care or the it starts coming apart. It's well made but not that well to stand a lot of handling. It's not my favourite Jodorowsky book, but it's there or thereabouts.

... it is up to ones personal taste if they like it or not
I will not speak about the content as it is up to ones personal taste if they like it or not.(which hopefully they do ) but for the product itself. The product is a hardcover 540 pages long book with extremely good print quality and paper. It weights about 1 1/2 -2 kgs and it screams quality from a mile away.Issue is that due to the size of the book when reading it you get the impression that you might damage it if you turn the pages fast or if you are reading it on your lap. This is one of the very few books i have read using a normal full size desk for support. In my personal opinion its amazing that all the story is in one book but for real life usage/utility i would have prefered if they had split the story in two books.

Simply brilliant scifi
One of the craziest, most entertaining pieces of sci fi. You feel pretty sorry for the Metabarons, talk about tortured existence. This is a must read of graphic literature. Super artwork to go with it. Not for kiddies!

The Incal fan? - just buy it mate
If you love The Incal, just buy this, full stop.Ok, some objectivity: this book is about one inch thick, and all of the art is as beautiful as what you see on the cover. It is basically a follow on in regards to The Incal – not narrative wise – just purchase wise. There is nothing left to say apart from the fact that keen readers will see how much that (recent) big blockbusters have taken from this, and barely shaved the surface.

Truely great!
This volume is the same size as The Incal volume by Humanoid and it is well bound. The artwork wraps around the cover and there is no dustjacket included. The Metabarons is a much bigger book than The Incal and the story is rich and deep and the artwork is sublime throughout. This is an excellent buy for any Science Fiction and/or comic fans. Be warned though... this is an adult-oriented story with strong adult themes and situations depicted.
