I'm happy with mine
I really wonder if some people giving this a bad review aren't just being nostalgic for their childhood. Of course that's why we bought this toy in the first place, but how long did they really spin way back when? This one spins for a little over 2 minutes before it starts to start wobbling and coming to a stop after about 2 and a half minutes. That was just one test, so it's anecdotal and not scientific data. I probably could have done better than that.I have no idea how long they spun when I was a kid but I doubt it was much different back then. This one seems a bit more stable than the others in the pictures I posted. It tends to stay in one place while the others wander around a lot.I like spinning them and just watching them with the cat.

Needs tweaking for max performance.
My review is more forgiving than most. I have a soft-spot for misfit toys. These new Wizzzers were not manufactured to the old quality standards, and out of the box you might have some problems with them. With a little tweaking, they will perform just like the matchbox ones from the 80's. Using a cheap concave bathroom mirror as a spinning surface, I have gotten spin times of over five minutes.(The one I have is called "Geo")This was arguably the single most favorite toy from my childhood. I have been looking for them forever, and was overjoyed to see a re-make. I just got my purchase today, and began playing with it immediately. After 30 or so runs it began making a dry "seizing" type noise. I applied a single drop of household 3 in 1 oil to its spindle, placed it upside down, and spun it slowly, letting the capillary action pull the oil down into its bushing. This has alleviated the problem. I have ran it 100 or so more times, and now it performs even better that when I first pulled it out of the box. This is why I rated it a 3 and not a 5. I suspect they are shipping these dry with no oil. When I got 3 more in the mail, the two spherical ones had serious issue right out of the box, and did not perform as expected. As of 3/12/2018, I would somewhat recommend this product. I have had some issues with them but were fixed through tweaking. (I play with this thing constantly, and if anything changes I will update this review.)Edit one 3/10/2018: My darling daughter has decided to assist in the research. She tossed it while it had the white attachment installed, and it landed hard right on it, forcing it in deeper, and cracking it. It has been filled with plastic epoxy and sanded. Alas it has affected spin duration. 5 minutes 30 seconds has gone down to 3 minutes =( . I am at 306 revs. I have also noticed a little bit more play between the spindle and the casing. The old Matchbox-Made lucky 7 one I had survived through a lot worse. You lose a star. Was at 4, Down to 3.Edit two. 3/11/2018: At rev 400. Spindle/shaft is noticeably bent, causing balancing issues. This is easily fixed with pliers. Buzzing noise is also getting noticeably louder, and spin duration is shorter. I decided to pop it open and have a look. (I placed the wizzzer in a vise with a towel so the jaws wouldn't scratch its casing, and SLOWLY tightened it until the seam around its equator popped open.) I was happy to see a cast flywheel, and not stacked washers. This is more akin to the older designs from the 60s and 80s. The upper bushing looked dry, so I hit it with a drop of grease. I then closed it and wrapped a piece of electrical tape around it to keep it closed. Buzzing noise has stopped, and spin duration has noticeably increased. Back to 4 stars for being something fun to tinker with.Edit Three: 3/12/2018: I got 3 more in the mail as an early birthday present from my mother in law. The three that Arrived were called "Pixelator" (Top Shaped), "Burst" and "Kaleidoscope" Both spherical shaped. The top shaped ones seem to work better out of the box. Both of the spherical ones were stiff, and would not spin well at all. Using a vise with its jaws wrapped in cloth, I slowly squeezed "Burst" until its seam popped open around its equator. The issues were readily apparent. Excess adhesive had leaked down around the shaft near its tip, and was interfering with spin on the lower bushing. I was able to clean this up with an exacto knife. I applied a drop of oil to its upper and lower bushings, and now it spins just fine. Rather than glue it back together I just wrapped it with tinted electrical tape. "Kaleidoscope" has similar issues but I haven't opened it up yet.Edit 4 3/19/2018: The first Wizzer (Geo) has passed 1,000 revs / spins. Spin time averages 5 minutes 30 seconds when allowed to spin on a concave bathroom mirror. The tops themselves are serviceable, but the downside is you have to tweak them as mentioned before. I you have a little patience, and like to tinker with things, these re-makes can be made to perform like the old matchbox ones from the 80s.Edit one 3/10/2018 down to 3 stars at 306 revs. (Geo)Edit two 3/11/2018 Opened and tweaked. 478 revs. (Geo)Edit three 3/12/2018 753 revs. Received 3 more in the mail. "Burst" "Kaleidoscope" and "Pixelator". Round ones have problems.Edit 4 3/19/2018 . Geo passed 1000 revs and still works great after tweaks.

Old School Fun !!
I had played with these as a child. I am 54 now. Each year I purchase a old school toy for my Grandchildren as part if their Christmas Gift. We had more fun with these on Christmas day !! Actually kept them off the electronics for a while.

Nostalgia but not as well made as the old ones.
Same as others said. Rubber tip started sliding up on second use. Already making noise and not running as long. Only played with it for 10 minutes. Still, it brought back find memories and the kids can kind of see what we used to have for toys.

Just like the original, as I remember them
Has the same feel as the original wizzer. I am quite pleased with the action and the rotational velocity you can obtain.

Love it!
So much fun with the pets!

Does not spin properly!
The spin top does not work properly. I spin it up as instructed, however, it stops spinning 5 seconds later. I tried putting oil on the bushings but it did not help. Don’t waste your money on this. It will be a source of frustration.I had a Whizzer as a child, but this product does not have a same quality. It is a grossly inferior copy.
