R W Beckett Corp 4037 Oil Tank Slip-On Vent Cap

I installed this in 2018 and it still looks good. I'm happy with this.

It fit perfectly . The 1 1/4 size is 1 1/4 pipe not 1 1/4 inch . I see at lest one Person Is confused about it saying he measured it and it was 1.68 in. that is 1 1/4 pipe 1.25 in. Lol . I’m not a pipe fitter . I learned the hard way too . It is confusing . But the product is good

Item was just what we needed for our oil tank. We were hoping it wasn't going to be an expensive fix, but it was a great price and just what we needed.

Doesn't look sturdy made from cheap metal

Great for the money! Slips on with screw to tighten, keeps water out and lets air in. Not very sturdy, but don't plan to beat it up either!

The top of the cap CLEARLY says "OEM 4037 1 1/4"."I only have an electrical engineering degree... not a mechanical one. But when I see 1-1/4", I assume that would mean this should at least fit my 1-1/4" vent pipe from my oil tank. Even WITH the set screw cranked all the way down, this thing would blow off in the wind with my 1-1/4" pipe.I got out my calipers. Since when does 1.68" = 1.25"? Or even 1.54" = 1.25? I shimmed the difference because I know how to force it to work, but I wouldn't buy this again.
