It is suitable for any door with a mechanical cylinder with European profile. For installation, the existing cylinder is simply replaced by the Danalock cylinder and the engine lock is screwed on at the top. I have a "lift and lock" door which requires me to lift the door handle to engage the lock. If you use the "auto-lock" feature which I guess most would then the lock "gives up" after 1 attempt and leave the door open, I would expect a notification from the app or another attempt to lock the door instead of leaving it open. I contacted the supplier and they claim this is to conserve battery life! This becomes more of an issue when renting the property short or long term.
