Great Little Tester
This HDMI Cable Tester is terrific. It is compact enough one could carry it in a pocket, though more likely in tool pouch. The remote allows for testing of cables the ends of which are out of sight of one another. The readout is simple, readily identifying problem cables of which we turned out to have only one. What a time saver over trying one cable after another--all were tested in a matter of minutes. Well worth the money!

Works well.
Nothing super fancy but does the job. I have used it for troubleshooting bad HDMI and CAT 6 cables. Works.

It worked for me.
I had 2 50 foot HDMI cables in my wall that stopped working after 5 years. The cables were ran thru conduit and they weren't fun to pull so to make sure it wasn't a different issue, I purchased this tester. The tester confirmed that they were defective. Of coarse I checked other cables to make sure the tester worked. However, my new cables are Fiber Optic HDMI Cable 50FT long HDMI Cable v2.1 and this device says it can test up to 2.0. Unknowingly, I may not have put the correct piece at either end of the new cables because the cables are NOT unidirectional and the tester didn't react the same way as the older version cables. I tested the new cables by lying them on the floor from the source to the display and they worked fine. Anyway, great price and is very helpful if you need to diagnose cable issues.

Thin case but it works
Got this to check why I wasn't getting signal to my RV bedroom. First feel of the tester was how thin the tester case was. Don't drop it because it might shatter like glass. Hooked it up and it works fine. Telling me i had several damaged wires in the cable. So In all, it works just fine.

Waste of money
It not accurate. It show that cable OK, but cable not working. When cable connected to computer or TV it say no internet, plus switch not working properly have to switch on and of a few time to make it work.

Great tester to have in your toolbag
Used this to troubleshoot a weird intermittent video display issue, at first I thought it was maybe a device issue because I moved the hdmi cable and the problem initially didn't move with the cable, but then eventually it would move with the cable I used this cable tester I picked up off and found that SOMETIMES not always I don't get a signal on pin 19. This tester is simple to use and works, would definitely recommend. Here is also video after I snipped hdmi cable pin7 to demonstrate how it works to detect no signal
