Andromeda - The Complete Collection [DVD]

Great to have this show on physical media, unfortunately its hard to find on streaming platform.

Watched this series when it was on the TV worth a watch again

Like most sci fi takes a lil getting used to the characters but then easy to take as stand alone films.

I love the seeries, but a bit disappointed as it is region free, but found out that some discs play some wont, be carecul. So i have bought a new dvd player, looking forward to it arriving.

Andromeda is one of Gene Roddenberry's best tv series. The Commonwealth spanned three galaxies and a myriad of cultures. Dylan Hunt, captain of the starship Andromeda, was frozen in time and awoke three centuries later to find the Commonwealth had fallen. To fight back the chaos among the stars, Hunt must use the Andromeda to restore the Commonwealth and bring unity to the galaxy once again. He recruits a mercenary, Tyr Anasazi, and the crew of the Eureka Maru: Captain Beka Valentine, Engineer Seamus Harper, Physicist Rev Bem, and Medical Officer Trance Gemini. After discovering the Spirit of the Abyss and its powerful weapon, the Magog Worldship, the need for the Commonwealth is greater than ever. 50 member worlds are finally recruited, and the reconstruction of the Commonwealth is finally truly underway.

When I first watched this series on dvd I couldn't get into it and barely watched more than four or five episodes. However, in blu-ray this is a whole new experience. The color is sharp and my 65 inch TV and region free player handle this show in a whole new way. I feel like I am there on the ship and the bridge. So If you weren't impressed with this show on dvd, try it again in blu-ray. BTW, it was produced by Majel Roddenberry, and Gene Roddenberry is given credit for its creation, so although it is not the same universe, it seems familiar somehow.

happy with my purchase but annoyed that every single disk was not in its holder and was bouncing around freely inside the box be aware it was not the sellers fault its the Manufacturers Fault but in the future id like to have sellers personally check and make sure that their products is 100% perfect and safe from any kind of damage even if that means they open it up from its original packaging.Ever since I got my boxset iv'e added a thin layer of foam sheet that fits perfectly between each dvd tray making sure no dvd falls out or ever gets damaged.

I have been following this on TV (PICKS), it was only the last in series 5, but it wetted my appetite for the whole series, besides which I am a total Sci- Fi fan.As for the price of this pack of the whole series, I just could not resist, I know I am going to have a great time watching the whole series.

Très bonne série de SF...Par contre, sur le packaging, en plus d'une bande son en français indisponible (déjà signalé à plusieurs reprises), à noter également le manque de sous-titre, et ce dans quelque langue que ce soit (même pas Anglais). Il faut bien s'accrocher pour suivre...
