Ten Little Ladybugs

I love the ladybugs and how they slowly disappear. Very colorful and so cute! And a very sturdy board book.

10 Little Ladybugs is a wonderful picture book for young children. Kids love to touch the plastic ladybugs, but don't worry about them pulling out the bugs. I purchased this to replace our copy from several years ago which lasted through two older siblings, but by child number 3 it was falling apart. So after the new book arrived I was curious about the ladybugs and how they are attached. Each bug is molded onto a hard piece of plastic about 2" long and very well glued into the thick pages. The odds of them being pulled out are slim. Yes, I purposely destroyed the old book that the pages were falling out of just to find out how the ladybugs are attached. I have given this book to many children and read it to many as well. It's well loved by infants and toddlers due to the rhyming ("10 little ladybugs sitting on a vine, along came a butterfly then there were 9") and they can touch the ladybugs instead of just touching pictures of the book. As you progress through each page one ladybug leaves then all are reunited on the last page.

I had this book when I was young, and I was happy to order it for my baby cousin. It is made very well and the printing looks great!

Our grandchildren have loved this book, and I give it frequently as a gift. The bright, raised ladybugs are a sensory delight.

I bought this book for my daughter when she was small. It held up pretty good through the years.So I bought another one for her daughter, my granddaughter. She loves it too.

My grandkids loved this book as toddlers. They are now 18 & 16. I ordered this book for a baby shower. Hope new baby will love too.

This book is priceless. The story, illustrations and colored ladybugs are adorable. I also bought the busy bee and butterfly books by the same author. They are our favorites.

I've been reading this book to my daughter since she was born. She is 7 months old now and loves it! As I've read it, I've noticed different things about the book, not only is it a counting book and the illustrations and 3D ladybugs are great, but the story is rhyming, easy and clear. I've noticed other things as my daughter hit different stages in her development like; it's a durable book, she can turn the pages; the number of ladybugs are represented in 3D, number form, written number form AND by the holes on the page (my baby was recognizing the holes on the page before the ladybugs - the contrast drew her gaze and little fingers to the holes); each page has a different outdoor critter (you don't even have to read the book, it can be a picture book, add actions or sounds 'here'; each critter has a smiling face - my daughter sees those now and smiles too; and, the font is great for showing baby where the words are and eventually becoming the book they go to as they learn to read. I enjoy reading this book to my little one.

Excellent book for babies and toddlersYou can sing along on each page (or read if you prefer)and kids can feel the ladybugs disappear as they learn about numbers.

This book is just as wonderful as 'This Little Piggy.' You are again counting backwards, but I find the illustrations even better and more colorful. Again the hands on touch and feel concept of touching the corresponding number of ladybugs on each page to each number is fantastic!

Das Buch habe ich mit dem Vermerk "sehr gut erhalten" gekauft, was so nicht gestimmt hat.Leider waren Seiten beschädigt und hatten klebrige Flecken, was das Verschenken für mich peinlich gemacht hat.Dennoch kam das Buch gut an und die Kleine liebt es.
