If you are trying this yourself, it should be washable in warm to cool water, but air dry it. Putting it in the dryer will probably cause a big mess for you and ruin the finish. **UPDATE** Since writing this review, I've used this for several non-traditional applications--mostly on launderable items--so I can update on its wash- and dryability! I wanted some thick knee-high slipper socks with non-slip bottoms, so I bought a pair of thick ivory socks and applied 3 coats of this plastidip to the bottoms. After letting them dry for 48 hours, I was thrilled with how they turned out. But when it came time to wash them, I forgot they were in the wash load and they were washed in hot water and dried at high heat. To my surprise, they came out just fine! No problems at all--in fact, the dirt that had accumulated on the bottoms came out beautifully...I assumed they would look dingy, but they looked unworn! So I've probably laundered and dried them 2 dozen times since, and I'm just now noticing that the finish needs to be reapplied, because they are starting to not be waterproof on the bottoms (I wear them outside sometimes, so I've no doubt that walking on concrete also impacts the wear). But they still launder to look brand new, and I'm convinced now, more than ever, that plastdip is the best stuff to make fabrics water- and slip-proof! So I'm using this to smooth the teeth marks left by my dog on the end of the temples. It works well. It helped me fill the cracks and smooth the surface. It sets up quickly but not so fast you can't work with it. Use your imagination. A better solution would be to mix a little water with an exterior wood glue such as Titebond III.
