This tool is very complex and supports advanced fiber optic and LAN connection testing for diagnostics and support.I recently started the switch to fiber at home, and after running some of my fiber lines, I wasn't getting proper connections. I was able to test my fiber line and find the weak point in the insides of my walls. One of my cables had gotten scratched and smudged while installing them.This tool is perfect for many different scenarios.The device features a touchscreen GUI interface with easy-to-navigate, user-friendly software.There are many accessories and capabilities. It worked very well for my needs, and I have many more future use cases for the machine.This very professional and quality tool is good for commercial data center use and consulting. Many different languages are also supported, which is a great feature.The price point of the tool reflects the quality and reliability of the optical fiber tester.I have seen other testing tools that were much more expensive and not as capable, so this tester is an excellent value and is made to last.

If you do any amount of splicing, having at least some kind of OTDR is a must. Everything is fine when you get light/link, but when there's a problem, you're stuck without some way to test. This OTDR worked great to prove out some new fiber runs/splices when the customer had the wrong optics. It even showed the bends where the fiber was run through an LB. Overall, impressed with the functionality for the price. Minus 1 star because the FC connector on the unit is a bit fiddly and can skew results if you're not careful with it.
